increasing supercharger noise?

I'm sure this has been spoken about but it seemed like it was about the xj. I know that our cars are meant to be refined but I love the sound of a supercharger whine (coming out of an s4 with the intake modified). any way to up this on the f-type? I have a base V6 (planning on VAP tune in a week). thanks for any advice

It's a "feature" of the Eaton TVS R series that it makes much less noise and whine than other SCs.
There isn't a lot you can do other than to remove the engine cover and maybe the black rubber insulation pieces either side.
On the XFR some have claimed to have increased the SC whine by chopping off and sealing the intake tube resonators, or by fitting an after-market resonator free intake kit such as that sold by TCP. I fitted the TCP intake to my old XFR and to be honest it increased the SC whine by a very small amount.
TCP say they are working on an intake tubing kit for the V6 F-Type, who knows what difference it will make though.

The engine cover comes off real easy, just pull it up on the four corners to release four "plugs". The rubbers each side are apparently a real PITA though (I haven't tried to remove them), hard enough to get out but damn near impossible to put back on.
I run with the engine cover off for about eight months of the year, for engine / SC cooling reasons, then in the winter months (ie now) I put it back on to reduce the clatter and rattle my engine makes at idle.

the cover does nothing for the sound - the v8 exhaust overpowers any intake sound
there's been a handful of guys here fitting the eventuri semi open intake, and even that seems to be overpowered at larger throttle openings
unfortunately getting a hellcat style whine just isn't possible from what i've seen done on this platform to date

+1 for the V6 as well. The difference is barely noticeable. On my MINI JCW , there is a large flapper valve that opens the intake side of the filterbox straight to the engine compartment. That valve opens automatically at 4000rpm and overpowers any sound coming from the sport exhaust. I removed the intake tubes from the F-Type for a few minutes, and it released the sirens from hell. Glorious sound, but it also threw an engine code.
