Default Infotainment System Dead

Brand new 2024 F-Type (R-Dynamic). Went out to lunch. Went to start the car after lunch and the Infotainment system is totally dead. Screen is black and none of the controls on the steering wheel or the volume/on-off switch work. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas?

Sounds like a faulty connection at the battery, or elsewhere…the engine starts and other electrical components (eg windows…) work?

I had this early in my time with my MY21 car, and it was after a short drive then restarting the car. I put it down to lower battery charge than normal. Car has been hooked up to a CTEK ever since and the problem hasn't occured once in the subsequent years.

It's happened twice on my 2024 R-Dynamic, but always returns to normal by the next morning. Dealer installed new software and since then been all good.

No issues with my 2024 R, but I do plug into a CTEK whenever I’m not driving.

Is your battery on a maintainer?

Yep, my 2024 R has done that too. Next drive it was fine. The only thing I could recall about it was I had the driver side door open for several minutes while I loaded the trunk. Then got in and plugged in my iPhone before starting the car. I pulled out of my garage and into the street before noticing the blank screen. I also had a 2021 that did the same thing a couple of times.

Dealer told me they have new software that addresses issue. It worked for my vehicle.

I have a low mileage 2016 that I have owned for years. This year, and maybe due to the AZ heat, but twice I took it to the office and leaving the infotainment system wouldnt turn on until the car cooled off. This hasn't happened in prior years and unsure why it did it this year.
