Default Interior leather care

What is everyone using to take care of their interior leather? I have the red interior and want to make sure I care for it correctly.

I used Lexol for years and then switched to Zaino. It seems to clean and protect just as well and love the smell.

I have some Zaino that I bought a few years back, both their cleaner and their leather in a bottle treatment. The smell is very strong though and lingers for many days after treating the leather. The issue that I have with it is the MSDS information is not available anywhere online. I would like to know if it contains silicone, which as far as I am concerned is the devil's sauce.

From reading some threads on the Autogeek detailers forums, pH levels of the formulas are of some importance. Lexol seems to have about the best formula for real leather interiors that are not coated as is often the case in modern interiors and does not contain silicone. I'll be ordering a bottle of their cleaner and their conditioner.

Another excellent non-silicone conditioner is AutoGlym Leather Balm; while I have used and liked Lexol on Jaguar leathers for decades, I prefer the Leather Balm for the Italian leather in the F-Type. It is richer, creamier than the Lexol, is quickly absorbed and leaves a perfectly natural finish.

Sov211, good to know that the Autoglym product contains no silicone. I have always heard good things about that company's products, I think I will try it instead of Lexol. I have the tan full Windsor leather upgrade in my new R and there is a lot of leather to protect.

In fact, every car care product that AutoGlym makes is first rate. I use their Resin Polish on the wheels...it allows the brake dust to be removed with a light pass of a microfibre cloth (despite being called "polish", it is really a very slippery liquid wax).
While I very much like the Lexol conditioner, I find that for the premium Windsor leather in the F-Type the richer AutoGlym Leather Balm works better.

Fully agree- I've tried just about all of their products, including their very pricey high definition paste wax. Every product they make has been excellent and worth the money in my experience.

For Australian members I have used a company in Brisbane called "Loungeguard"
Basically aimed at domestic lounges and similar however they do have a basic colour range which can be modified with additives.
I successfully changed an X300 grey drivers seat to an oatmeal finish. Even the concourse people could not spot the change.
Cost overall including primer coats was A$70 and that included enough product to do several more seats.

When I bought the car, it came with a ceramic treatment interior of some sort...I was skeptical. It has keep things unbelievably "mint" ....dealer add and what I thought was a scam. Not. Even a guarantee for issues.

Premier or something like that. I was really annoyed at the time as they forced me to spend 1k on it (interior and exterior)....turns out the local xpel indy wants 1800 for just the exterior...so a good deal from the dealer. Generic ceramic stuff with a 7 year warranty.

Before this, used lexol. I like the meguiars stuff too. Many of these things are quite good..it is about taking the time to actually do it more than anything else. ...getting too focused on the actual product may be not the best thing to do.

I’ve been using Adams cleaner and their conditioner as well. The cleaner works great with a horsehair brush and the conditioner smells great and can be buffed so it doesn’t look glossy. I prefer a satin to flat finish and it does well for that.

I've been using Dr Leather wipes for many years but started using the Autoglym leather care balm this year. Great stuff.

I have the extended leather package with leather pretty much everywhere but only treat the seats. I've also used Dr Leather on the steering wheel in the F-Type and my two last Jags. Not sure about Autoglym - do you guys use it on the steering wheel too?

I use the Autoglym Leather Balm on the seats (and it leaves the leather soft and not greasy) but I have not used it yet on the steering wheel…but leather is leather so there is no reason at all why it should not be used. In fact, I think I will do that today! Thanks for the prompting.
