I ordered these puddle lights. Looked at these month's ago and I could have sworn they were round and required drilling and were a PITA.

These supposedly pop right in. I like the clean look of this particular projection.

Are you sure?
Coz before I fitted the logo puddle lights I fitted a pair of bog ordinary T10 SMD LED bulbs in there with no problems (although they did flicker a bit!).

Yep, they will pop right in.
Pop the OEM ones out (gentle lever with a small flat head screwdriver), remove the connecting plugs, plug the new ones in, click into place, and Bob's your uncle!
The round ones that require drilling are for cars that don't already have puddle lights in the bottoms of the doors (like the XF which has them on the undersides of the exterior mirrors).

I was told by an eBay seller that the start/stop switch can easily be pried out with a plastic pet tool without removing the trim. Never tried yet. When the lettering wears off of my switch I may get the ignis orange.

I'd love to see pictures on how well these project the logo after you install them. Intriguing.

They project the logo very well.
In the dark such as at night time they are quite dramatic, but in sunlight or bright light you can't see them at all.
They are also fairly clean and crisp, I was pleasantly surprised how much as I was expecting them to be a bit vague or fuzzy.
As I explained above I can't show you a pic of mine, I tried but the camera flash just completely washes out the logo.

the irony is jaguar actually removed the bronze trim pieces (on the R at least) on the mid cycle refresh because of the low perceived quality, especially the shift paddles

Will do when I get them but they are coming from China so it will be a while!

Funny - I just have to assume for $20 they are junk but others have said otherwise. I love playing with LEDs/lights. I'd like to find bright LED reverse bulbs next.

OK. I ordered an ignis orange start switch. Used to be more than $100, now $25. According to Edmunds, the ignis orange was discontinued because it wore off the paddles leaving the white plastic exposed. So they dropped the entire line of paddles, dynamic control switch and start button. I always liked it and it was pointed out by Jay Leno when he did a Garage segment on a the F Type on his show.

That makes it right I guess, (Right justified). Enjoy it and no matter where the wheel is, the car is the same awesomeness anywhere!

To each his/her own and there is no right (Joe ) or wrong answer. Personally, I like the look of ignis on the start/stop and paddles and at 18,000 miles haven't noticed any discoloration. And, I would like to think I won't.

The ignis discoloration issue mentioned doesn't occur for everyone - anecdotally it seems to depend on the amount of acids and other things you have on your skin, what you use to clean your interior trims (you should only use water), and whether the car is exposed to very hot ambient temperatures. Basically the soft-touch clear layer over the painted base breaks down and goes slightly tacky. On areas that have full finger contact like the paddles and start switch that usually leads to gaps appearing where you normally press them, which much like the clear coat on body panels causes the visible colour to change, but it can affect any of the interior switches with that same soft-touch paint finish.

Up till around 2015 that finish was used extensively across many car makes and models to create a more premium plastic finish, until it was addressed. It wasn't just car parts either, I have used TV remote controls and computer mice with the same issue. I don't think the ignis painted parts are still made so replacements likely will experience the same issues if any of the degradation causes are still present.

On my MY 2015 the ignis starterbutton and paddles looks just like brand new still. No sign of discoloration what so ever.

Hope it stays that way as I actually like that little color "touch" in the interiour.

I think I'll clear coat mine before installation or just buy 5 while they are available.

Because of this thread, I bought both the logo ghost lights for the doors, and the copper start button.

The start button installed in five minutes. I used a trim tool to pop the shifter trim ring up, disconnected the harnesses, and swapped out the buttons. I paid $30 shipped for the button on eBay.

The ghost lights were $20 from China, so I should be seeing those in the next 8 weeks haha.
