I get that and I don't sell the things so I'm not wedded to them. Car companies do lots of focus groups and, I expect, they won't appear on cars until they both function as they should and people accept the look. I'd prefer the open sidewalls only because I know that will reduce heat fatigue and I want my tires as safe as I can have them and will pick safety over appearance in anything but a show car. I'd put them on my track car in a hot minute (if they perform well at speed) because I tear the crap out of my tires on the track and sweat a high-speed blowout. I just brought them up to showcase that the industry is moving from run-flats to airless tires, I'm not an advocate for the technology though, I supposed, I'm drifting that way.

I don't know if they are available in sizes that fit F type but I know Nissan GT-R was fitted with run flat tyres as standard, originally these were Bridgestone then from 2011 onwards they changed to Dunlop Sport Max.

Many people don't like run flats, but no one ever referred to GT-R as low performance. OEM run flats didn't seem to hinder lap times on GT-R or any other aspect of its performance

True. I don't drive my R vert anywhere close to its max limits. I'm more worried about being stuck on the side of the road....
