Default It's Finally summers time!

in Minneapolis, that is! Let's hope my eBay tpms sensors (JLR parts) aren't in sleep/ship mode.....!

On the bright side, my Sottozeros showed almost no wear after 4K miles this winter.

Default If anyone is interested..

So the OE TPMS sensors I bought on eBay weren't working. I confirmed that the winter set was operating at 433mhz. I found some Land Rover /F-Pace forum that suggested they were in "sleep mode".

If if anyone decides to buy them - GX631A159AA - you'll have to find a tool that has the ability to wake these continental VDO "set to park". I went around to different shops until I found someone with a Bartec 400 pro, with the set to park feature. Set each sensor to park, wait 20 minutes, and it recognized them in 5 minutes on the highway!

They need to make this system more complicated.

(Sarcasm)

I don't know...I think they've already done a pretty good job of that.

Thanks, I got these off eBay... $14 for all four!! Significantly cheaper than anything else I'd found. I did have to do the electrical tape wrap around the tabs but they hold great now. Apparently that's common with a lot of different center caps.

I'd like to add that I used discount tire to activate the sensors and I was not charged (the guy learned something too)
