Jag USA F-Type build site updated with pricing
#2
Priced it out to match the MY15 R Coupe I got. Total is $108,940 vs $106,238 for a $2702 price difference.
Black pack is $200 more expensive on the R.
IRR is $900 cheaper on the R (free)
Wheel choices are more limited now on the R.
If I factor in the price of the extra 4 years of maintenance it comes to $675/yr. Pretty sure the routine maintenance is cheaper than that.
I did ignore two options that are now standard (InControl Apps and Powered Tail Gate) as I never wanted those. But for full discloser that would bring the price difference to $1,602. Maintenance subsidized at $400/yr.
So overall just a slight price increase and you might end up with some options you didn't want but are obviously convenient to have. Originally I was bummed about the extended warranty and free maintenance, but not really any more.
It makes a lot more sense economically for those that really want AWD.

Sad thing is, I really didn't want AWD - I did want a particular exterior/interior combo that wasn't out there.
My dealer accepted my order for a 2015 in early December, only to call me 10 days later and say he couldn't get it processed.
I wish we had the choice in the US - I would have selected RWD without hesitation.

You would think one would have been out there:
Dark Sapphire
Jet/Jet w ivory stitching
Black Pack
Pano Roof
Vision Pack
Black Gyrodyne Wheels
I was willing to take one as long as it had vision pack & pano roof - was prepared to swap wheels if necessary.
There were a few close, but all had the two tone interiors which was a no-go.
