Default Jaguar Advisory Board

I just received an email inviting me to "...take part in an invite-only private online community."
Does anyone else know anything about this program, or has anyone received this email?

Looks like they started at the bottom of the Jaguar model hierarchy and are working their way up........

"As a Jaguar Land Rover car owner, the Jaguar global design and engineering teams would like to invite you to take part in an invite-only private online community.
The Jaguar Advisory Board has been set up as a commitment by us, to ensure we are listening to our customers and our cars meet (and exceed) your expectations. ......"

.........XE owners received the invitation in September.

They probably figured we'd be too busy out driving.

I have an embarrassing confession to make. Sunday I washed, dried, shined the tires, then put my F back in the garage and took my motorcycle out for a ride in 60 degree temps without a cloud in the sky.

I don't blame you. The jag is nice, specially when I'm with my girlfriend. But there's something about riding on 2 wheels, listening to some good music, leaning into some nice twisty turns, and just separating yourself from everything else that feels....majestic. 😍

I got it, filled it out, and am "in".
Curious as to whether the discussion board is interesting, or if anything else interesting has gone on, ie invites, offers, etc?

I was invited and joined a couple months ago. Not much value, IMO.

I agree. I tried to keep up for awhile but got to be, as they say, pointless. Also they keep wanting you to change your password. What a pain because I can never remember the original password. So i just gave up.

It does seem to be a community that devolves into help/complaint threads. Good to know it's a resource, but don't think you're missing out if you're not there.

Noshame said it best, sadly. Seemed they wanted input on electronic features and so on, not the reasons I have owned 10 before my F.

I finally logged in,and a quick look around showed no compelling content. I've participated in marketing surveys before, and this is pretty much as expected. I'm generally an outlier in the target audience spectrum anyway (6MT, anyone?), so don't expect I'll have much effect there.

Interesting survey was done. I’ll see if I can find it. It’s not that only few lust for an MT. The issue is that at mid-life many people are afraid of learning how to drive something that can cost big bucks if the clutch is destroyed.

I'n on it, but quickly stopped paying attention because the survey's are time consuming and pretty far out there.

I"m a member, but haven't participated lately. Not sure if anyone there value my inputs. Look at Uncle Fishbits list of subjects above, it's a bunch of BS busywork matters that doesn't interests me....
probably will drop out soon.

I'm on it because everyone is entitled to my opinion ;^)

The latest survey was not only dumb (what do you use your car for when you're not using it for driving?) but was also poorly constructed. Follow-up questions didn't follow from the previous, and inadequate options for multiple choice questions.

The previous was about what I wanted from my car for it to be my fitness coach. Srsly?

Maybe they're getting ahead of themselves asking EV-related questions, to which the answer is expected to be "topping up the grid".

That's easy to fix - make it unreliable and you get a good workout pushing it!
