Shouid I admit that I find washing the rear haunches of my F-Type (and my previous x150 XKR) wonderfully sensuous?

There is indeed something about the haunches, very primordial, suggesting pouncing power. (see image below).
I think someone bought your blue xkr last week? Go over to the 150 forum. Its an expat in Spain who is having it shipped.

Not mine, which was a 2010 "AK10xxx" registration. I sold mine nearly two years ago when I got the F-Type.

But Jag has never lost it in the styling department. These are timeless beauties.

I happen to agree with you on the Huracan, precisely because it is the least adorned Lambo in 20 years. If it weren't for the two little scoops down at the rockers, it would barely qualify as a Lamborghini, it would be so "naked." Maybe they're learning something, but I doubt it. This same logic goes for why I like my Pre L Pantera better than the later GT5 or GT5S models with the exaggerated flared fenders and the Countach wing. The original Tjaarda design was just so svelte and sexy with just the right proportions.

The fake crease and vent craze is Cargo Cult behavior. Humans have a need to emulate and worship symbols and behaviors perceived to have once brought prosperity. It's the dominant subconscious behavior in today's business world.

No. You will agree once you hear this.
Saw an interview with chief designer at GM. He described his process, he designs the car as it should be- then puts it in a parking lot. Then parks his custom designed observation bus 20 feet away and just studies it.
Then goes back and put in hard lines that are lost from 20 feet away. Why- because he is designing a car for what the camera sees. Why, its the camera (or Instagram) that is selling cars these days and not in-person evaluation.

I have had this problem too with my product.
When you design something to be aerodynamic- it becomes invisible to the camera, or not photogenic at all. Because air and light act in a very similar manner when it comes to angle of incident.
Even the XK is near impossible to portray accurately in a photograph. Especially a cell phone camera.

Women have become this way too- its what you look like on instagram that matters- no joke. Plastic surgery for instagram.

I absolutely love the Countach before the wings arrived. Every generation got less beautiful.
