I imagine not many people have 2016s yet, so it could be another quarter or two before enough are signed up.

Is anyone actually ordering one with a manual transmission?

We still don't have enough of the 2014s to include them in the survey, and while we have enough 2015s to provide some stats, they'll have asterisks for "small sample size" until we have more.

In other words, we continue to need more people signed up for all model years.
There's about 9 of us now that have ordered the MT. Unless anybody objects, I will pm you their handles. First to be delivered in July.

Sorry, just saw this. While I appreciate the thought, it's probably not good form for me to directly PM people.

We do already have five 2016s enrolled--a surprisingly strong start for a low volume car that only recently reached dealers. You know who'd love to even have the chance to drive an F-Type with a manual? (Pretty much everyone who knows how, but especially the guy typing this.)

We'll have an initial stat for the 2015 in August. We've had enough responses already (barely), but not enough months per car. Keeping the latter in mind, it is somewhat encouraging that only one of the twelve responses included a repair report.

For a reasonably price stat, we will need more 2015s. And we continue to need more 2014s before we can even include them in the survey.

We'll have an initial stat for the 2015 around the end of the month. A big thanks to everyone who helped make this possible.

We do still need more participants for all model years. If a few more 2016s signed up we could add the new model year to the survey.

Added mine today, and gave him a reminder to add the 2016 drivetrain options.

LOL . . . yours is really going to skew the 2016 data with a small sample size.

It would be sad if it doesn't.

Agreed it would be sad, but after monitoring this forum for a long time, my non-scientific impression is that there have been significantly fewer serious F-Type issues reported for 3 MYs now than I recall from most car forums I've participated in.

If sound system complaints were eliminated as a reason for service, my guess is it would fare very well against most models. Most other complaints have been for small and unrelated things.

Thanks!

Our reliability stats for the F-Type now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.) Repair trips per 100 cars:

2015 F-Type: 32, moderate, small sample size

We do still need more participants to provide precise stats for the 2015, but the data we have suggests a repair frequency near the average--better than with past Jaguars.

We're just a few cars short of also having a stat for the 2016.

Is this intended for US owners only, or can Brits join in too?

Thanks Foosh, just signed up. If I'd have bothered to register first, I'd have noticed the big "Which country are you in?" box...

Is the MT now shown as a 2016 option? Last time I tried, it was not.

Thanks, guys! We'll have updated stats for the 2015 next month, then an initial stat for the 2016 in February.

The number of cars now signed up--more than any other Jaguar for these model years:

2014: 14
2015: 21
2016: 15

We don't consider a result reasonably precise unless we have at least 25 responses, so additional participants would be very helpful for all three model years.

We've updated our reliability stats for the F-Type to include owner experiences through September 30, 2015. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

2015 F-Type: 31, moderate, small sample size

We'll have further updates in February and in May. Additional participants are needed to provide precise stats for both model years.
