Unhingd: The survey month is always the first month of every quarter--though I often send the initial email near the end of the quarter in question. I think I sent the first one this round on 12-29 to avoid the New Year.
Greggbhill: Thanks for joining. Note that while a repair that occurred before you joined will be posted to the site, where others could benefit from the information, the reliability stats only include repairs that occur after someone joins.
People often assume that our stats are distorted because people are more likely to decide to participate in a car reliability survey if they've recently had a problem with their car. Structuring the analysis this way avoids such a distortion.
With a low-volume car like the F-Type, it's unusual that we're able to provide a stat at all. Thanks for making this possible, guys!
That said, we continue to need more participants for all model years. So if anyone else here can help:

We've updated our reliability stats for the F-Type to include owner experiences through the end of 2015, about eight months ahead of other sources. In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year--lower is better:
2016 F-Type: 69, high, very small sample size
2015 F-Type: 33, moderate, small sample size
It's unclear if changes made for 2016, such as AWD and the manual trans, are behind the uptick. Or the cars are most likely to have problems fresh off the lot. Or just a reflection of the small sample sizes.
For the repairs behind these stats, reliability information on other models, and to sign up to help improve this information--let's get rid of the "small sample size" notes:

The analysis only includes repairs that occur after someone joins, and the main survey form is designed for this purpose. There's currently a second form to post earlier repairs, as less information is needed about those. In May or June we should have a new form that serves both functions. If you need to edit anything about those you just entered this will be possible with the new system.

We've updated our reliability stats for the F-Type to include owner experiences through September 30, 2016.
Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year (lower is better):
2016 F-Type: 66, high, small sample size
2015 F-Type: 48, high, small sample size
The 2016 is higher rather than lower because of reports of problems with the clutch in manual transmission cars.
In both cases with more participants we could provide more precise stats. A big thanks to those who have been helping.

FWIW I just got this email from TrueDelta... (excerpt)
We hoped never to have to send this email. A few days ago we learned that TrueDelta has joined the increasingly long list of organizations whose server security has been breached by hackers. The hackers stole user names, email addresses, and encrypted passwords (at least some of which they were able to decrypt). We are deeply sorry about this.
