Default Jaguar F-Type S 2015

What are the pros and cons of this car? I mean it's really an awesome one but what are the things that needs to be considered?

Pros: just about everything. Cons: 1) Not as much power as the R, but how often will that really be a factor? 2) The sound system is hit or miss. Some have problems, some don't. Bring your favorite tunes when you test drive the car. 3) Other minor issues that have probably already been fixed under warranty.

Are you pondering a coupe or convertible?

Pros: As stated above, its great.
Cons: No spare tire; small trunk; not very jacket friendly; blind spots are big in the convertible with the top up; no hard top; expensive oil changes (but don't really need them that often). The list could go on, but these arn't really bad negatives, just some small nit-picks that you will have to deal with as a result of owning a small two-seat sports / GT car.

I bought my 2016 loaded F-Type S stick early this month.

Pros: The looks, inside and out, are extraordinary. I came from a 420hp car, and I can honestly say I prefer the V6 for its usable power.

Cons: The very supportive seats do fit better without a jacket. For a long drive, I throw my jacket in the trunk.

The only substantial negative is depreciation, approximately $15K a year. This translates to high cost of ownership, but you should be expecting this getting into this caliber of a car.

warranty gained 2 years (I think...can't remember if prior was 3y or 4y, but it's 5 now) and scheduled maintenance included for 2016 and beyond

OK, as for the stereo....scratch the problem as there is a software fix that is awesome and takes care of this....so after the fix, scratch the stereo as a negative.

The car is a "personal" head turner, meaning I am not interested in others heads, but my own. Every time I walk into the garage, or take it out and park it, I look at this car with a strong seal of approval from every dimension. Such as shame that more folks aren't taking to it....but then again, they don't know what they are missing! Simply awesome.

As for depreciation....true, however, I plan on keeping it for a while, and therefore it evens out for me. If I planned on selling next week, I would be wigging out with this.
