The first Jag press car Derek ever drove was an F-Type R, so he was curious to take the 2.0-liter version for a spin. Personally? I don't think it makes any sense to not offer this version in a stick, but that's neither here nor there... Check out his full review here!

If I could have an F-Type, I'd definitely go for the six-cylinder with the stick, personally.

I havent driven the manual but I slightly regret not having bought one, it is a car that lends itself to a clutch and stick I think. But then the manuals in Oz are very hard to sell, so unless you want to be buried with it or could cop losing maybe 50% in 2 years, the auto is a safer buy.

Should offer with stick, tho not for me. If 4 banger keeps the model going I'm all for it!

Bury me with mine, thank you.

Shall we make that an “official” part of this year’s Wild Blueberry Blast? I am friends with the local funeral home owner. Another option is my lobsterman friend and a burial at sea. So many options...so little time.

I 'd prefer that you wait until I was no more!

It still amazes me how attractive that car is in it's basic form. Adding the aerosills or the SVR gill does not add to the appearance.

Mine isn't manual (not offered, but honestly I don't miss it as much as I feared I would), but I still want to be buried with her.

I'd haunt you from my grave. (Not too far to go since you'd be driving it)

I finally got a ride in the 4 potter today. Unfortunately I didnt get to drive it, but then on the plus side it was a hot lap with a professional driver. I also got to drive a p400 (or whatever they are called). My impressions are that the p400 is definitely quicker at launch than my V6S, even in normal drive, there is no lag at all. Once it was up and going doing laps I didnt really notice a difference from the 380.

The 4 potter driven by a professional is quite amazing, on a small track it was everything you'd want and more. I asked the driver if it was as quick as the 8 on the small track (it felt it and we seemed to be keeping up to the sixes and eights also with professional drivers) and he didnt think so, but it is mighty fast and super impressive.

That's a pity you didn't get to drive it yourself Bruce, a good fair comparison with your car would have been good, the 4 pot is a smasher.

Yeah I was really hoping to, though the four instructors we had on the day all said that the V6S is the pick of the bunch, and that was without them knowing I had one. Bearing in mind though these guys are all professional drivers so they would get more out of a 4 potter than I could out of an 8, so they'd be getting more out of the 6S that I would from an SVR.

But I've done hot laps on that track with the R, the S, and now the 4, aside from the fact that the R pins your ears back at launch and the noise made I'd be hard to pick between them though I thought I detected a bit of body roll at the extreme edge on the 4, maybe it was being pushed a bit harder as the driver impressed me more than any I've had before.

That's odd, mine are 245 on the front and 275 on the back! I feel a severe case of "size envy".

yeah mine are 19" centrifuge in black. I wouldnt have ordered them on my own build but they are easy to clean. but looking at the specs, it looks as though they are an inch narrower than the 20"s. Ultimately they dont fill out the rear wheel wells as much as I would like, maybe I'll go to 20"s when the tyres have to be changed.

It looks as though I'll be keeping the car forever as my plans for the F Pace SVR were given a very nasty knock on the head by my wife and daughter who pretty much said why would you ever trade that beautiful car for a soccer mum station wagon?

Yea you must have 19", i agree with them on the SUV issue, i would never buy one, it's just not right. Did you not fit spacers on you car, can you post a picture of the side view
