Bruce, spacers are a must, they improve the stance and looks hugely.
Lots of debate and info here about 15 mm vs 17 mm spacers and whether or not the studs need grinding/cutting of a few mm before the wheels will fit back on without fouling the OEM studs, but from memory all that talk is about 20" wheels and not 19" and I have no idea how your 19" wheels will work (or not) with spacers.
Like I have pointed out elsewhere it's easy enough to take a few measurements and work out if 15 mm or 17 mm spacers will fit without any problems or if you will need to grind/cut the studs, before you buy any spacers.

Depends on what you mean by "work".
If it's just the fitting of the spacers then it's a very easy DIY, if you can change a wheel you can fit a spacer, I have done it dozens of times. The only catch, and it's a small one, is it helps to have a way to hold the front wheels and stop them from turning as you torque up the spacer nuts. Easiest way is to have a helper press on the brake pedal, although some have used a large screwdriver jammed in the vanes of the brake rotor then up against a suspension member.
If you mean cutting or grinding of the studs then again easy enough to DIY (although I have never done it), but you need an angle grinder and the right type and size of cutting or grinding wheel.

Was going to go the spacers route too with mine, it seems 15mm or the 17mm is the way forward, Gyrodynes need the end of the studs cut. I had spacers on old xkr, got a lot of road rash from the front wheels on the sides. Probably wont fit them due to this, no really going to do much to the car, have the exhaust changed and hoping to get the P7 grille and fit, that's it.

You dont need the spacers with 20"s IMO.
By the way I drove the E Pace at the drive day. I had been looking forward to it, something different. Unfortunately it was pretty underwhelming. They have absolutely f*d up the f type interior for it, it looks cheap as, then the ride is awful and bumpy. The steering was OK though and the 2.0 diesel is punchy enough for that kind of car. The way it bounced around on the road, you wouldnt want it to be very fast anyway. What a shitbox, but miles better than an evoque I suppose.
