Default Jaguar and the near... future

Greetings, well I had a long conversation with a Jaguar manager per now and the future of the ICE .... and models

All current models will be gone soon.... as soon as the inventories of the V-8's and other ICE engines each series will be retired... how long... a year by model year is
my guess, end of 2023 ....

All plans for a longer wheelbase F-Type are gone... as is a Electric version...

The Future is pure Electric... and maybe a Fuel Cell... version...., possible.....

Also, the Pace will go away... keeping a long wheel base sedan.. to be Electric...

The NEW models are to AIM High at Aston Martin , Bentley range of markets and customers....

Jaguar stated that they will make fewer cars by -25%...

Tata Motors: The LandRover will be the stakeholder of the Dual Brand Dealerships.... $$$$ and steer their customers to the High End Jaguars in the adjoining showrooms $$$$$.

KEEPING my F-Type V6 Convertible .... Happy Days....

So the F Types are going to be cool and collectibles in the near future. Keeping my 2022 convertible P450 R Dynamic AWD V8 forever.

Yeah this isn't news that's confined to Jaguar, it's industry wide and we're all heading into the Brave New World whether we like it or not. The F-Type is a very very good looking car, and that's not changing.

Yes, we F-Types are so lucky !

I still hope they offer a Sports car in the future.... I am sure they want to offer something, the whole electric sports car is
pretty much an oxymoron .... ask Ferrari .... as to their customers' dilemma ....

Hi, a follow up..... it seems many premium car brands are really up in the air these days.... vrs. propulsion and power grids,
profits.. are drying up... a real tough time for most all. The next Jaguar Sports car platform I was told would be as below
to be 5-6" longer for future room for the battery pack and give an inch... leg room up front... then zip zoom not to be....

You may have seen this prototype, sorry having a problem posting the photo.....

It's not a prototype it's a photochop dreamed up by a journalist a few years ago.
Zero chance of production.

I sure hope it's not a prototype. What I've long admired about Jaguar aesthetics is their smooth sided flanks, free of "elephant" ear scoops that every other sports car manufacturer seems to feel the need to add. Some are big enough to cook a turkey in (like the C8).. Jaguars like the XK or the F-type have always looked sleek, sensuous, without artificial body creases or scoops. It's what has always made them look better than their counterparts. And look at the Ferrari Roma's side profile, it's very Jaguaresque in appearance without all the boy racer parts that most new supercars have.

Hi, Totally agree.... we shall All hope for the best out of all.... the variables... Jaguar to make changes just to keep up with the silly EV
wave could be most likely a disaster in the brew....

Q: Why cannot the Industry control it's own future.. vrs. the omg the sky will fall if not EV, The Massive costs of EV infrastructure is
a preamble to a footnote in history... not good.

Blue gas is the BEST answer, Shell is working on it ... per a NEW Car it will work Terrific.... a New class of engine needs to be endorsed by
most countries... i.e. , a maximum miles a year.set... plus required Blue Gas" , this will ensure ICE future without all the drama of EV per
selected cars, either already built or New.

Jaguar, Ferrari, Porsche, some BMW/Mercedes, Bentley , McLaren, etc.

Sensible.. hmmmmmm , do let know
