Default Jaguar Project 7 Concept

So Jaguar is bringing a nice stable of vehicles out to the Goodwood Festival of Speed and one concept they have featured in the video and gorgeous pics below is what they are calling the Jaguar Project 7 Concept.

The Project 7 is based off the F-Type and inspired by the legendary D-Type and the 7 represents the 7 wins that jaguar has had at LeMans. The car is simply stunning looking and the sound it makes in the video will haunt my dreams for days and the exhaust note is as calmed and soothing as gunfire flying overhead in a foxhole. Checkout the images and video below and if any of you plan on attending the Goodwood festival this weekend (July 11th-14th), please share photos with those of us not so fortunate. JaguarForums.com stickers will be awarded to any user who updates this thread with additional live pictures.

Good looking car, great colour, masterful road presence and although the sound is first class, just a wee bit too raucous for me.

Only my opinion of course.

You beat me to it. Totally agree. If the F Type had been introduced with this front end I would have been first in line. One can always hope...

I am meeting with some builders in CA next month to see if they can mimic this and convert my F-Type to something similar. I agree I like the front end better on this car but I really like the homage to the D-Type. Amazing.

If you can con your dealer into ordering an F-Type in Kyanite Blue you're 90% there in reproducing the Project 7. Getting the increased power should be fairly simple as there are a number of tuner shops that have packages in the 550-570 hp range. The Project 7 is pure car **** though. Impractical but it is really beautiful.

It seems to me that in order to get the F type front end to look similar to this car, all you would need to do is to cut the vertical separation out from between the two lower inlets on each side and join them as one big inlet with a new piece of mesh. That was how I would have preferred it in the first place, sort of two large nostrils rather than four smaller ones. This would be a very simple fascia alteration that could be done rather easily.
