The Jaguar Project 7 Is Only Worried About Making You Smile

Few cars on the road provide enthusiasts with the childish sensation of that of the Jaguar F-Type. Even in its least powerful guise, the V6-powered F-Type is a huge laugh. Unbelievably, Jaguar decided to create an F-Type that was rarer, more powerful and even more of a laugh than the F-Type’s ridiculously overpowered V8 variant. Only 250 units were ever made and Harry Metcalfe—adviser of Jaguar Land Rover—managed to get his hands on one. We rode shotgun in this amazing car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, albeit not exactly as planned.Listening to Metcalfe pin the throttle on this rare beast brings back some great memories, and will no doubt make you giddy with joy.

Problem is in the last 7 days we have received over a foot of snow and we are getting another few inches tonight, then a cold front comes through and by Monday Morning the temp is going to drop to -18c (0f).
My big issue is the truck cannot fit on my street and has to stay on the main road. But the biggest headache is my driveway. It slopes up at 19% or 11 degrees. the car comes with track tires which will be almost useless to climb the hill if there is any snow on it.
I have been stockpiling sand for this occasion so hopefully mother nature cooperates.

If you have ice rather than snow, that might work. But with a 19% grade, you'll need about 350 lbs of traction at each of the drive wheels. Difficult to achieve with track tires that will have the traction of a hockey puck at 0degF. Consider the following: buy a pair of the cheapest, narrowest steel rims with the right bolt pattern and mount snow tires. Then throw 4x50lb bags of sand in the truck. Will fly right up that driveway.

But the weather is forecasted to be sunny for the start of the week. No ice here, just too cold for that. Just powder snow.

Ice melt and traction grit. Better yet, it's calcium chloride rather than sodium chloride. You can probably get something similar nearby.

Quite right! At the very least to meet and greet you - hopefully with your lovely wife - for the 2016 Jaguar Lobster Run...in May. That and I have renters coming on Wednesday and my house is fully booked through the end of March.

Zach,
Just have it delivered to me in sunny southern California. I'll put it in the warehouse with my Pantera, my '78 280z, and my partner's new track Viper (I keep my XKRs at home a couple of blocks away). And of course, I won't drive on any rainy days, and you can come visit whenever you want. We only had 5 days of rain last year, so you can drive it for 360 days.
Congratulations in advance. And by the way, how on earth do you get any of your sports cars up a 19% grade without "chinning" them. From the street to my flat driveway is only about 10"-12" and not a steep drop, and I could never get my Pantera up without scraping. Pretty much the same unless I'm very careful with my 2002 XKR.
Have fun!

Thanks for your overwhelming generosity.
I just signed all the papers at the dealer this morning including a contract with Jaguar that forbids me from exporting the car for 12 months.
As for the driveway, it's no problem at all since the grade starts off small then increases and then levels off. Plus the road itself is on a steep grade.
