I had the opportunity to attend the LA Auto Show with the Editorial Team yesterday and snapped a few quick photos of the new F-Type Coupe right after its big unveiling (you can find Jaguar's official photos and videos from the event here). We'll have a lot more coming soon, but for the time being, here's a taste of what we saw.

So for the big important details see the attached press release. The highlights include:
-Pricing was announced in Tokyo to coincide with the Los Angeles reveal and the Coupé will go on sale in the Spring of 2014 at £51,235 and $65,000 in the States which puts it £7,000 below the convertible model. The F-type R Coupé will cost the lucky owner around £85,000 or $99,000.
-Still no word on a true manual gearbox and the Coupé will stick with an eight-speed 'Quickshift' transmission with full manual sequential control via steering wheel-mounted paddles or the central SportShift lever.
-The F-TYPE R Coupé represents the pinnacle of the F-TYPE range. Powered by Jaguar’s 5.0-litre supercharged petrol V8 all-aluminium engine in 550PS and 680Nm form, the F-TYPE R Coupé achieves headline figures of 0-60mph in 4.0-seconds with an electronically limited top speed of 186mph, 50-75mph taking a mere 2.4-seconds.
-The F-TYPE R and S Coupé models have an exclusive option of Carbon Ceramic Matrix (CCM) brakes. Vivid yellow monoblock calipers – six-piston at the front and four-piston at the rear – grip 398mm front and 380mm rear brake discs made from a matrix of carbon fibre and ceramic, which is extremely hard and highly resistant to wear. CCM brakes are now also optional on F-TYPE S and V8 S Convertible models.
