Posting this since I haven't seen it mentioned before. I received an email from Jaguar Land Rover North America stating that they've extended the O2 sensor warranty on 2014-2017 F-Types to 15 years or 150K miles for 3.0L models and 10 years / 120K miles for 5.0L models. Furthermore, they will reimburse people who paid to replace them in the past. Not sure if this applies to only the US or the US and Canada:
Interesting. On my X Type I have to clean the O2 sensor frequently.
I've just purchased mine about 4 weeks ago (an FTR) , and it was auto registered through the dealership. IF, you bought from a private owner or non-jag dealership then you'll simply need inform your local Jag LR dealership of your new tow and they should be able to put you in the system. (They'll prob want you to bring it to them for services though, so keep in mind the happy sales pitches. <grin>)
I came from my Jag LR dealership the other day on this. I'm in FL and they confirmed this does apply to those of us in the US. I've only owned my 'R' for about 4 weeks and I was already in the system. I received a text message from Jag/LR main system. - Hope this helps
My local dealership her in FL did say they will only replace my O2's for n/c IF my codes in the system of car popped off. They will/would not replace or reimburse if I couldn't 'prove' the sensor(s) were bad. (I wanted to simply replace them ALL under this recall, but they declined unless I received 'codes' on a mis-fire)

This is not a recalll...it is a warranty extension on a specific part and system which applies if said part or system shows a defect within the extended warranty period, not simply because the owner wants the part renewed.
Greggory is correct as to 'recall' v 'warranty'. However, I think the most important point here is that those of us that can/could/will replace in our own space must realize the monies will not be reimbursed if we don't show the codes of our vehicle to our local Jag/LR dealership to file claims of refund. I'm finding we can use any SASE (here in US) to certify?, but you guys can check on this before you perform.
I had one replaced out of warranty, took the $785 receipt and letter in to the local dealership on Monday; they quickly told me that I had to contact Jaguar directly until I showed them the part in the letter that says provide your authorized dealership an original receipt. They asked me to leave the e-mail with them so they could follow up, haven't heard back from them yet. Will give them a week before I follow back up.

Hi - so wondering if you had any luck. I have been unable to get reimbursed. I had an O2 sensor replaced by the Exeter, NH dealership (Oct 2018) -out of warranty. That dealership has since closed. I went to another dealership (Bedford, NH) with my receipt and letter May 2021. Never heard anything. Followed up with emails to Bedford Jaguar as well as jagweb1@jaguarlandrover. No response other than "will check with service manager". Followed up again to Bedford Jaguar in August as well as last month. No luck - I copied jagweb1@jaguarlandrover - never heard a response to any of my emails. If you have any suggestions greatly appreciated. $486.41 - would be nice to get back - great beer money.
If you have access to a lift - it is easy to replace. Otherwise you are on your back reaching up into cramped space. It took me about 3/4 of an hour. Hardest part was disconnecting the old sensor - (unclipping).I got the part on ebay from euro cars - Listing was as follows "Land Rover Range Rover Sport Bosch 0258030398 Downstream Oxygen Sensor C2D54167". Hope this helps. Mine was the passenger side that I replaced this past May. ($83.00 for part with free shipping)

Reason: add in cost of part

Why would you do that if Jaguar will replace for free.

Time - It was easier to do myself rather than travel to dealer - wait 2 hours and travel back home, (Have lift in garage) I had a sensor previously replaced and cost $486.41 at dealership and shot my whole morning. I am still trying to get reimbursed for that sensor (see my other thread) no luck still. Any help appreciated. Thanks
