I agree that the two cars have different scales, but you should check the digital readouts in both cars.

Maybe he wrote the article before doing the testing?
they are probably inferring the lap times, which I can see the other 2 leaving the F-Type in the dust. But for straight acceleration no way the GTS beats the F-Type, especially w/o launch control. In the real world w/o launch control the low end torque of the V8 SC will win out.

Yeah although a street race between these 2 cars would likely end in flames!

Amg GT has another generation of development on Jag. I found criticism of interior strange as it is one of my favorite parts of the car, not German sterile. Funny same mag had no criticism of BMW i8 which is almost impossible to get in and out of.

I've had an AMG Merc roadster and there is no beating them for pure speed thrills, that is their reason for being. If GT adds finesse it would be hard to beat. Remember we haven't seen non GTS yet and it's price will be much lower, near Jag and less than 911. Also will eventually have a roadster.

TR64ever, you have posted this statement on a couple threads. Where are you getting this? The load capacity on my '16 V6S is 1027 lbs. (Gross Vehicle weight 4519# minus curb weight 3492#) I think you are confusing lbs with kg.

Capacity plate Jaguar F-Type, tire pressure and carrying capacity

This is right on the door-sill to see as I get into my car.

According to the owners' manual (2016 Weights), the weight of the car (3492), passengers and cargo should not exceed the gross vehicle weight (4515). So there is a mighty discrepancy with the label (which they also admonish one to follow). However, this is the first time ever I have seen the load capacity on the door not coincide very closely with the difference between the gross and tare weights specified. The owner's manual, does put a limit of a 31 pound load in the boot, but does say that can be exceeded if the load does not exceed the axle capacities or the tire capacities based on their inflation pressure.

In any event, I believe there must be something wrong with that label. After all, I have an 820 pound load capacity in the MINI Cooper

I've watched a few videos of the AMG GT, and although you can't tell that much from a video, the exhaust kind of sucks. It sounds like a truck.

Verified. I wouldn't drive it off the lot until they fixed that:

He says it gives him goose bumps. Hmm, not me, probably sounds better in person. Sounds very agricultural.

I think it sounds great (for a pickup truck). Sounds just like my GMC.
