Default Is it just me or …

Am I the only one that gets really annoyed with people who put really loud after-market mufflers (fart-cans) on their (mostly) pieces of crap cars? So loud I can’t even hear the awesome purr of my F-Type over the noise. Do they think that because their car is louder it is suddenly faster? Or is it just a way to say “notice me”? Okay I feel better now after venting.

No, you are not the only one. This behaviour seems restricted to young owners of oriental car brands.
Speaking of irritating things, when will BMW be obliged to fit turn signals to their cars as standard equipment? Almost none of the many BMWs on the road have this option, at least as far as I can determine.

I suppose we can be flattered that youngsters try (by fitting loud cans) to emulate the cars we drive.

It's only you!

More seriously, another annoyance is the LOUD music that some drivers play.

<SIGH> I admit, though, I was young once.

I live in Brooklyn so I get the noise every day and often. It’s just another instance where there is no enforcement.

Dude....wake up! This isn't twitter. This has been going on for DECADES. You know it. Does your criticism bolster your ego? Oh, definitely not. YOU ARE THE MAN.

The fart cans have been a thing for at least 20 years. Never understood the concept. I can't seem to talk to anyone either in person or on the phone when one is near me. And comical that all that noise comes from a piece of crap that is getting passed by a Honda Accord doing 30mph on a surface street.

They're all fitted with signals, but they only operate on a subscription basis.

All that noise and you can still see him. My Vette is not quiet but I do leave the scene of the crime rather quickly.

Default Us too

I’m sure I’ve annoyed a few people too. Go by some slow car at full roar and I could see them not liking the noise. Wide open we are pretty loud. One man’s symphony is another man’s ear ache.

I wouldn't let it worry me. They are probably mad at you because you are driving that beautiful F car and having fun.

I was at a Jaguar touring club event at Sturbridge host hotel with my 63 e type coupe and witnessed with my own eyes a series two with two large canisters attached to his exhaust system. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing, it took all of my upbringing from questioning him about his choice of muffles, needless to say it was an abomination,

the image is burned into my mind. I took home second place in the concours event, I would have had first place except my brake light switch decided to fail at the last moment. Frank

They failed to top off their blinker fluid.
