Don't think that I can do it the 14th, but the 21st should work.

Sorry but I can't do either. I'll be home in NH both weekends.

I'm planning on it. Not sure which vehicle I'm bringing though. Thinking about riding the bike since it's supposed to be nice.

Forecast is now for rain. Based on that, bike is definitely out. Attendance now in question.

A British car is appropriate transportation in British weather. I’ll be there in any event.

No problem. Much lighter than usual turnout due to impending rain and the McLaren crash last weekend. Gendarme out in full force to prevent the stupidity. Many more screwups of that sort will kill this event.

Here's a good discussion by Bob Cullum:

A good discussion, indeed. The inexperienced and small brain/heavy foot contingent feels the need to show off. The chimpanzees with their cell phone cameras squeal with delight when a car loses control and smacks the curb (or worse) as they have a video to post and can say "dayummm" as they ridicule the driver and talk crap. On the American Muscle Car scene there will be endless jokes about Mustang drivers, who appear to crash more than most.

The nervous, bed wetting "ban the insidious and dangerous car shows" types will have another example to support their car hating cause. Those of us who enjoy a day of admiring the fine automobiles cared for by those of our ilk have to hope cooler heads prevail on all fronts.

And...most importantly, we have to pray no one is injured or killed. All thanks to the knuckleheads.

Was at a fantastic cars and coffee event in Santa Ana today (see FR500GT's post - sponsored by his shop), but, like happens at so many of these events, there are often those that cannot resist the desire to "show off" for the crowd, or want to be the star a you tube video. Fortunately, no accidents that I saw, but with spectators lining the streets, should someone lose control the results could be horrific.

Will be shame if they are all forced to shut down, the C&C today had quite a display of cars - a Koenigsegg, a Bugotti, a Pagani, and dozens of Mclaren's, Ferrari's and Lambo's.

Every time that I've been there (and that is quite a few), the constabulary is parked across the street at the fire station.

I've only seen one incident of douche-baggery at Katies, and said douche-bag was immediately confronted by others meaning to keep the event clean and safe.

Default 7/20/2019 Katie’s Cars & Coffee

This Saturday will be hot but sunny. Early morning shouldn’t be too steamy. It would be great to see some of you there.
