Key fob vs. washing machine........

So I've been working on pulling the supercharger on my '15 R to install the EuroAmp coolant pipe/pump kit. It's been going slowly, but overall not too bad a job so far.
Finished up for the day and decided to throw my clothes in the wash......forgetting the key fob (my only one) in my jeans. Discovered it in pieces after the wash was done. FML
I've taken it apart and dried it out, used contact cleaner, changed the battery, and examined with a magnifying glass to see if I could see anything amiss.......no luck. Nothing works. I was able to get the car to recognise the fob if it's pushed up against the dash though.
Is there anything I can do at this point other than getting a new key/module (KVM/RFA) programmed at the dealer? Can the existing key be cloned somehow?

Maybe leave the fob in a warm place for a few days to see if it really dries out - I had a digital thermometer that I dropped in the bath and after a week in my airing cupboard it sprang back to life.

As a note to others - it's worth getting a case for your FOB. Even if it's leather, it provides some protection from drops and wet. Lots of choices on eBay.

FOB implies that it is an acronym, where each letter stands for some word, when that is not the case.
e.g. FOB usually means "Free On Board", a trade/shipping term, but that has absolutely nothing to do with our car fobs!

Verified voltage on both old (washed) and new batteries. Both are good.
Dealing with multiple issues at the moment:
- Non-functional key fob
- Supercharger that is seized to the heads......looking into purchasing an engine hoist to pull it off
- Stripped radiator drain plug. Can't source a replacement. Considering epoxying the drain bolt into the rad.

I ran 2 ACURA fobs through the wash at separate times. One survived and one didn’t. I was able to get a replacement fob on eBay, and it could be paired to the car by following a procedure without going to the dealer.
Then there was the time I accidentally microwaved my iPhone. Don’t ask how that happened. It didn’t have any exterior signs of damage, but it wouldn’t power up and smelled funny. Since there was no physical signs of damage, the Apple care insurance required me to send it in for evaluation, and possible repair, for a 10 day turnaround. Where as, if it had obvious physical damage, they would immediately send me a replacement. Well, I then told them it got caught in an escalator and was heavily damaged. Do you all know how tough an iPhone is, and how hard you have to slam it in the door jam to damage it? 😂

This post reminds me that last month I jumped into a pool and swam around for a half hour with my Jag keyfob in my pocket. Stupid!
Remarkably, it still worked!
Just to be safe, I filled a beer mug with uncooked rice and stuck the key fob it there for 2 days. The idea being that the dry rice absorbs moisture.
The keyfob still works fine.
