Default last minute drive this Sat (11/21) ?

Haven't driven the car anywhere meaningful for a few weeks now, itching to go for a nice drive somewhere this Saturday before the rain starts becoming a regular occurrence...anybody up for a last minute drive? lunch afterward? Open to route suggestions...

Love to make a weekend getaway out of it with the girlfriend but I've already committed to one of my stores for their Jaguar XE "Art of Performance" event.

Been driving mine to Big Sur regularly since the tourists have pretty much left and traffic's been light, I'm up for almost anything...

I have to work on Saturday, but if you show up in Dallas, we can go for a nice long drive on Sunday...

Totally open for a drive! If this gets underway, let me know when and where and I'll definitely be there.

Yeah same... I used to follow that forum but I wasn't really seeing any traffic. I even posted a couple times and didn't really see much in the way of responses. So I stopped monitoring it, and just focus on this one now.

As for the drive, we had a plan in the previous pre-el nino drive event thread, but it never really got off the ground. Might be a good place to start from if we do this. I think I might be available, depending on the time and locale.

OK, let's do this!

9:30am-10am: Meet at Stanford Shopping Center (exact location TBD). Can grab coffee, chat, hangout.

10am-ish: Depart for Santa Cruz. Route will be combination of 280, Foothill/Eden Road, Highway 9, Highway 17. I'll put the map up shortly. There are a couple of wineries along the way, so maybe stop by for some photos.

12pm-ish: arrive Santa Cruz for lunch (restaurant TBD)

LMK if you are confirmed, I'll make restaurant reservation.

Not sure if I can make it, but if I can I might join you midway (as I live fairly close to where 9 connects with 17) or meet you in Santa Cruz.

Thanks as always for taking the trouble to set something up, T!

The main starting point is

711 Stanford Shopping Center, Palo Alto, CA 94304
This is Max Opera Cafe, big parking lot for the mall.

The Treasure Island location is for those from SF/North Bay/East Bay to drive down to the Palo Alto.

See you Saturday!
