Lessons learned. Too reallly get attention is to get the really high high end car. Every other gets the same.

So, the new Lambo, McLaren, or Bugatti got more attention than the F-Type?

Thanks for sharing, but many (possibly even most) of us aren't interested in getting "attention," just in the driving experience. Quite frankly, sometimes the attention the F-Type gets is a PITA.

Just curious again, what is your age?

"High High end " means Lambo etc.

Parker,

I'm not at all against you. As I said, I just understand better. Obviously, I was once your age, and I was probably not all that different in my wishes and dreams. I'm sure this probably sounds annoying to you, but with age and experience comes a certain wisdom and change of perspective, but I remember being your age.

I wish you nothing but the best, and I hope all your dreams come true.

There are many reasons to purchase the F Type R. Here are mine...#1 it looks sexy. #2 I love the exhaust. #3 I like the acceleration. #4 it looks sexy. Since I don't think I have self esteem issues, gathering attention is not on my list.

Don't worry - by the time you're in to your late 20's, you should have forgotten that day your mom forgot to pick you up from elementary school, and that screaming need for attention will all but have faded away.

I am slightly confused. Usually when an OP asks for opinions on cars it is because they are actually looking to buy the car. Unless this OP develops video games or has some other source of income, by the time he can afford any of these cars all of the current advice given will have drastically changed.

When I was 19 I had a 1965 Ford Mustang convertible which received plenty of attention. Wish I had the foresight then to keep it as it would be a collector's item today.

Lessons learned. When you finally grow up you come to realize that all attention isn't good attention and also at some point you come to realize that at the end of the day, no one else cares what you're driving but you. Live and learn.

I can tell you that the right car, can be a "panty dropper" with some ladies.

I can also tell you that these are NOT the ladies you want to be with for any length of time...
