Any wrapped F-types? Lets see um. Based on local painters apparent dis-interest and others touting wraps, im considering going this route now. Avery has a color shifting green that looks phenomenal. I LOVE this car, but the carpathian gray ehhhh. If I had been able to find a BRG r/svr in the first place I would not even be in this boat.
No good if you leave your car in the sun all day or in very cold temps either. But I dont have either of those issues, if my car wasnt exactly the colour I wanted I'd wrap it (other than the A pillars and other bits I have done in black gloss)
Nice wraps guys, do they have to tear the car apart? This part makes me nervous a paint guy probably has this experience a wrap guy I dont know. Here are the colors im considering.
I have no interest in a wrap, but just want to let everyone know that there are apparently insurance companies that consider them a modification that could affect rates/coverage/payouts.
May be a good idea to check beforehand.

really like that first color!
How far they disassemble the car relates to how thorough a job you are looking for. I've been quoted around $2k for a small shop's bare bones wrap (just visible exterior). For a top tier job including door jambs and trim pieces, a good shop is going to have to pull some of the pieces of the car off to get full coverage.
As long as you pick a competent shop this shouldn't be an issue, but it is significantly more expensive (I'm getting $5-6k quotes from the top names in southern California).
Was never a fan of yellow on an f type, but after seeing the photos of the 2021 yellow convertible, it works on the convertible to my eyes. Not as much on the coupe. The above wrap on the vert which looks like a satin (?), looks fantastic. Better the paint on the 2021 in many ways.
Well done.
Maybe people that post could list the color and wrap mfr?

...it`s "Silky GT Yellow", from Avery .... the color ist very close to "Sunbeam Yellow" from AMG.
For my wrap, the mirrors and bumpers came off. I think that's about it. I went to Elite Auto Films in San Jose CA who are actually the ones who do film work for Jaguar Stevens Creek, so they have a guy to do the disassembly properly.
In England, the daylight robbers, sorry, Insurance Co's don't consider the PPF or wrap as a paint protector.
They will not insure the cost of replacement in case of any damage...that would be an extra insurance!

And likely be considered a "modification" so the premium will go up ...
It is a Ferrari Portofino... .. wrapped in Ultra Blue, the original colour of my F-Type, below...
I was driving through Monaco in june 2019 with my son on a tour from Vienna [Austria] to Irun [Spain]. We drove by the spot on the promenade where the hypercars assemble to drive full throttle through a tunnel.
Many carspotters there, taking pictures.. .. it was funny to see that they turned around ignoring the hypercars and making photos of my humble P300... ..I thought it was just the looks...
Now I know it was since it appeared to them as a 2019 Ferrari Portofino...
Still its a funny story. That Ferrari copies a Jaguar shape, and the next year Jaguar introduces the colour bleu named after that "cat copy" ...
