reviving a thread a little over a month old...between the prior RS30 battery and what is being talked about here, I am not sure if many with a MY2014 have chimed in. With there being 2 batteries on the older model years, what is the fitment/model for a 2014??

FYI, Antigravity has a H8/Group 49 size now, so an exact swap for our cars. $950 is still too dear for me. I can only imagine the price will continue to go down... I hope...

Unless you are a fan of the start/stop feature, you just ditch the 2nd battery and save more weight. The RS30 I put in was roughly the same weight as the small 2nd battery (15 lbs), so by switching out both I removed about 65 lbs. Although, that was when they cost low $600's, someone says they are $950 now???

yes, the prior post indicated that this current version is $950, but I am not sure this is the same brand/style as the original RS30. I also dont know if the fitment works or not in the compartment under the hood vs in the trunk.

The original battery being referred to is the RS30: that was ~$600 but is now $700, is of lower capacity and lighter, and needs custom mounting in our cars. 30 Ah/11.5 lbs
The link I posted above is a new product, a straight swap* in a standard automotive size that fits the F-Type, and is $950. It's 60 Ah / 19 lbs

*At least it is for single battery F-Types. I don't know about the 2-battery models.

Interestingly enough, the search by vehicle facility on this website has only a single '2014-2017' option when selecting an FType. I'm not sure I trust this without contacting them first unless someone has experience with trying this on an older FType.

Maybe Ill measure my current battery and terminal locations

Are those new models from the same manufacturer?

Yes they're both Antigravity batteries. The RS30 is still available on the same website linked above, but it's $700. I think the $600 price was from a reseller on ebay.

Yes, I’ll be switching to this battery when the RS-30 fails in about 15 years.

I see prices of around $600, though I haven’t looked much. Wonder what the dealer would charge, though I don’t know if they’d bother with the OEM battery.

Yes, a generic H8 AGM would be less.
Must be a lot more expensive in your location.

£179 is US $230 at today's exchange rate

I've installed the Liteblox LB26XX two years ago, saving approx. 58 pounds (including the weight reduction for the OEM battery tray/holder being repaced with a carbon plate holding the battery), in my 206MY V6S. Has worked like a gem, never had a need to trickle charge, not even during the 5 months winter break where the car is in storage. Start-stop luckily disappeared after installing the Liteblox battery. Installation was very straightforward. Now with the gym closed due to lockdown the old and heavy battery came in handy for use as a kettlebell :-)

The ATX30RS is the successor battery to the RS-30 that I am currently using. Has never failed me even in sub-zero temps without using a battery tender. As mentioned, the ECO stop/start feature won’t work when these lithium batteries are installed. (No real loss).

Thought these were more like $700, so I got a $199 AGM at Autozone. For $400, would have gotten one. Next time...

I was surprised by the price too, so I looked into it last night. The $400 battery referred to is the ATX-30, with 880 cranking amps and 32 Amp Hours equiv.
The successor to their original RS-30 (1200CA/30Ah) that some folks here have, is the ATX30-HD and is $560. It's 970CA/48Ah.

Both are sold as motorcycle batteries, the HD also as automotive, and both require custom mounting to our cars.

Their direct replacement automotive battery is still $950 and has 1800 CA/60Ah. I think our OEM batteries are around 950CA.

I don't care about form factor, I just want to know if it works. I see they also have an ATX20-RS 680CA for $300 weighs less than 4 pounds. If I can save over an additional 50 pounds in weight, it would be worth it

The RS 30 has had more than enough cranking power for the F type. Even though taller than the OEM battery, the OEM tie-down hardware will secure the battery without modification.

...I should certainly hope so, given that it has a significantly higher cranking amp rating than the oem battery.
