it's both - the potential for both theft and contamination is obviously increased if the car doesn't have a lock and/or as word gets out to those interested in that type of activity that these cars don't have any security around the fuel filling system. The risks may well be remote, but it's a risk that we're only having to deal with because the cars don't have what I personally consider to be a basic necessity. As the cost of fuel goes up the risks go up...

The issue is also that the car comes with a locking flap. It is what we expect, not just from a price point of the car, but it IS supposed to have it.

I drove to a meeting and back today. i used the Nav. for the 1st time. The voice announces the freeway by # and the exit by # but NO names. When you get off the freeway, there are no street names. Just turn “left” turn “right”. In traffic where I live this is a hassle. My Lexus and Infinity is many times better then this system. A real disappointment. Of course you can’t talk to the system either.
Say I’m crazy, but I don’t like the turn signal clicking. Sound is very tinny and, well, inexpensive LOL.

Still love the car though.

Mike,

Thanks for getting involved with this thread.

I've highlighted your comment about UK specification vehicles to emphasise to our many US spec F-Type owners that you can't intervene on their behalf.

Graham

Thank you Graham.

What I can do for our US customers is take down their details and pass them onto my colleagues in the US so they can investigate further.

Many Thanks

Mike

2. On both of my other cars (GL and Ford Fusion) the Bluetooth is capable of notifying about and displaying (and "reading") incoming and outgoing text messages. Why not the Jag?

3. Windows should lower a slight bit when the door is open and then return to full up when the door is closed. This will make the doors a lot easier to close without needing to slam them.

4. I wish the navigation would attempt to announce the actual street names like it does and my other two cars.

Does Jaguar monitor this forum?

My car does this. Being a vert it should or it would be almost impossible for it to make a tight seal.

apexhunter,

Your car DOES all that Bobby Emm posted? Mine does none of them unless I just can’t figure it out properly. Could you please enumerate a little more on how you set up the F to do these actions?

Thanks!

#3 is highlighted in his post. This happens automatically, but you have to pay attention to see it as it doesn't move much.
