I bet you could fly in and meet up with someone who had a spare seat available.

(If they'd let you out of the airport is another story...)

Start a Kickstarter campaign - "Send the Mods to Maine". Or a marginally less expensive option - "Send lobsters to the Mods."

Default Link To Hotel (Will also post it in the other thread we have going)

Group Corporate Travel Booking Page

I can also suggest - and would if I were you - calling in your reservation to:

Josef Kijewski
Rooms & Revenue Supervisor
207.808.8723
jkijewski@thepresshotel.com

That link is for those arriving on Thursday and departing on Sunday but, as Josef has told me, the user (you) can reduce the length of their stay [still] using the above link.

Now that's what I call a meetup/run! You're tempting me to try to organize something similar for NorCal.

Default Nice job Ricky

Wow, the thought that you put into this "fun run" is, in and of itself, the draw to make people want to go. It is detailed and inviting for sure. Although I was going when I first heard about it, I am now going with a greater enthusiasm. Just takes the reasons that we have nice cars and adapts them to the road for an even nicer trip.
Thanks for coordinating this!

Signed......"Snowy in New Jersey "

Hey Joe (one of my favorite Hendrix cuts).

Happy to have you - and your always positive attitude - aboard. Putting this together, which is my pleasure, is really a no-brainer (I don't want this to come off the wrong way but this is just stuff I do all the time anyway..the only difference will be the addition of many other F-Types joining me...and, possibly, other Jags too).

Just ran into the Executive Director of Owls Head Transportation Museum for breakfast and he reiterated how delighted they are that we are coming.

[re] the pictures I included in the initial post: I simply used photos which I took - and didn't want to include shots I didn't take, or have - and are indicative of some of the sights we'll see (I probably have others if I searched long enough; I KNOW I have a great shot of the exterior of the Farnsworth Museum and Robert Indiana's iconic EAT sign...just can't locate it). I'm not generally in the habit of taking food shots but over the years do send them to my daughter who, only recently informed me, created an INSTAGRAM page called, "FoodMyDadEats". The apple, I guess literally, doesn't fall far from the tree.

Here's a nice shot which you might enjoy (just not one of the places we'll have time to visit on this Lobster Run):

Best Regards,
Jay (RickyJay just my nom de plume)

Hey Jay.... (vs. hey Joe)!

On the way up, I'll be singing ....:

Well, I stand up next to a mountain
And I chop it down with the edge of my hand

Well, I pick up all the pieces and make an island
Might even raise just a little sand
'Cause I'm a voodoo child
Lord knows I'm a voodoo child

Another one of my 500,000 favorites :-)! Thanks for keeping it real "and positive" also....no better way to fly (roll) keeping our Mo "JOE" real!

Whoever talked to Wayne Carini - what's the plan for meeting at F40 Motorsports? Is that on Thu? It's 2 hours in the wrong direction for me, but I'm planning on doing that.

Timing a little open right now but we should try to arrive at Wayne's on Thursday around noon or so. We will firm up the timing of arrival in the next month but it will definitely be thursday with a goal of arriving in Maine for dinner and drinks per Jay's schedule.

It's 4 1/2 hours in the wrong directions for me, but still want to be part of this.

Hopeful weather cooperates as we still get snow in early May up here.

I was going to suggest that my club is roughly halfway between Portland, CT (F40 Motorsports) and Portland, ME (Jay's World). Would be great for lunch, though the timing probably doesn't work, unless we drive fast enough to spin the Earth backwards.

Anyone wanting to golf on Sunday on the way home (if you have room for clubs in your car!), let me know.

Default Attention F-Type Shoppers...Eh, Attendees

Our F-Type tinkerer colleague Unhinged has created a dedicated e-mail, to prevent mine from getting SPAMED, for attendees to "register" (although that word is too formal for my tastes) and kindly ask those interested in attending to send an e-mail to Lobsters-2016@usa.net with the following information included:

1) Name (including, if Forum member, Forum name)
2) Contact Information, including e-mail and cell phone.
3) What car you will be driving.
4) Whether you will have a co-pilot with you - name of co-pilot - or solo (there might be some Forum members who seek an empty seat; assuming that's OK with you).
5) T-Shirt size (yes, I am designing a T-Shirt to commemorate this event).
6) When you plan on arriving.
7) What parts of the Jaguar Lobster Run you plan to attend (see list above).

There will be time to discuss other particulars - including whether anyone is interested in that private beer tasting on Thursday afternoon (thus far I've not heard from anyone interested in attending) and, separately, if there are any dietary restrictions - and if you have any questions about any aspect of this, please PM me through this Forum.

Before you know it May 5th will be here.

Needless to say regardless of weather conditions, this event will be held rain or shine (or, dare I say it, snow?).

Best regards,
Jay

P.S. Lance; have I left out anything?
