A custom printed piece of xPel or 3M film would work nicely.

Vinyl cling is cheap and works great. Spray it down, squeegee on, and just peel off when you're done. They're also reusable over and over again. That's what we used on the SCCA autocross circuit.

If you come up with a design I might just have someone who can produce them in vinyl. I'll check on that if you guys can think through the design. Jay the shirt design might be the answer.

Default Registration deadlines

Last date to “officially” register for the 2016 Jaguar Lobster Run will be Thursday March 31. Anyone wishing to attend after that date is welcome to, providing: we haven’t reached our limit of 40-45 people. All deadlines (hard close date for late registration) will be Wednesday April 20. That will give our various hosts 2 weeks time to prepare for our arrival.

Default Reminder To Those Thinking of Attending:

I received an e-mail this morning from a member of J-A-N-E (Jaguar Association of New England) expressing his interest in joining our group of merry men and women and not only has he sent an e-mail "registering" his attendance with Lance (Unhinged) who is literally taking names but he is bringing his wife and - I believe - another couple in their Non-F-Type Jag.

The point being there might [will?] come a time, perhaps sooner rather than later, when I will not be able to accommodate a late flurry of attendees.

So if you're on the fence whether to attend or not, I'd try to get off that fence if I were you. Which, of course, I am not.

Default Something to Whet Your Appetite (for those attending the Thursday dinner)

Scales tests the waters before opening in Portland - The Portland Press Herald / Maine Sunday Telegram

And I, along with my wife Liz, was fortunate to be among the "friends and family" crowd last Thursday night and it was absolutely splendid!

Default Beer Here.

I realize that having a private (as in just me) beer tasting at 11:00 in the morning at Allagash Brewery is a bit decadent but...well...somebody has to do it. Fabulous and happy bunch of people working there - and if you were working in an amazing brewery like Allagash you too would be fabulous and happy - and they are eagerly looking forward to our visit in May. We've even picked out a splendid spot to park which will make for a splendid photo.

I've PM'd Unhinged [re] the convoy, that the only reason I made this reservation at 4:00 sharp is to accommodate those traveling from who-knows-what-distances who have the desire to have a very special private tasting at this very special place. I would have been just as happy making it at 3:00 - considering dinner is, likely, at 7:30 that night - but 4:00 was, I thought, the best compromise. I'll leave the rest to Unhinged and all of you [re] interest and timing; just let me know as soon as you know.

Hence forth, all correspondence from me will be a direct, if Bcc, e-mail to those registered for this event.

Can a lowly XJ8 be invited on this run? It's a very busy time of the year for me but the idea of a run to Maine sounds fun. Jay got me looking at rearranging my work schedule when I read about the interesting places the run is going to visit but come on Jay the food, you sure do know how to sell a project.
Now reading that F-40 Motor Sports has been added as a stop, that is over the top. If Wayne will promise that his mechanic Rodger will be there also, it will make my wife want to come too.
Jay and Unhinged if this comes off half as good as it sounds it will be a sure winner.

I'll be reconnecting with Wayne in the next couple of weeks to firm up that he will still have a free schedule that day and is not jetting off to find some barn find Ferrari. Last we talked he was good to go and was looking forward to seeing us.

I'm going to push our arrival there to between 10 and 11 so we can still make it to Maine in time for the beer tasting. Will send along an east coast map with rough link up points for those wishing to join the caravan along the way. Should get that out to all by end of the month.

Your XJ is a welcome edition I'm sure and Jay is really going above and beyond on planning this out. It's going to be a blast.

Perfect. Consider routing us to the north of NYC so we don't get hung up on the bridges during rush hour.

Yes. Likely cross at Tappenzee bridge then Merritt Parkway to the Hartford area is most scenic and gets us to Portland area fairly quickly. Newburgh crossing too far north I think. Plus the Merritt is tree lined highway which should echo our engines nicely. It's also where some of the most classic cars I've seen on a highway traverse all the time.

We will be getting up pretty early in the am to get there by 11 but it will be worth it I suspect

Awesome. Happily, I'm only 1.5 hours from F40 Motorsports.

Hi
I see Toms River! We have a summer house in Lavallette, which we frequent all year long. Just sayin, and you caught my attention.
Nice to meet you virtually.

I should have it out to you with the maps and estimated way-point times in the next week or so. I will plot a three to 4 link up points for those coming from the west or northwest to join those of us coming up the I-95 and Jersey Turnpike corridor.

Also will plot a last link up point along the Merritt in Connecticut for the final leg into F40. From F 40 north to Portland ME we will have one or two link points for those not joining us at F40 or others can go straight to Maine as they wish.
