Lobster Run - Itinerary, With Pictures...
#61
I live just off I-495, but my road and driveway wouldn't support very many F-types. There's a northbound rest area in Chelmsford, though it doesn't have tons of parking. Haven't heard of other New Englanders who are joining us, yet.
Let me know if you're thinking of a link point west of Boston - I can assist you with that.
Myself and hopefully Zach will be meeting you at F40. I'm guessing Zach would come down I-91, and I'll come down I-84 through Hartford.
The MA Pike (I-90) takes EZ-Pass, for those of you who use that. The Maine Turnpike (I-95) does as well.

I should have it out to you with the maps and estimated way-point times in the next week or so. I will plot a three to 4 link up points for those coming from the west or northwest to join those of us coming up the I-95 and Jersey Turnpike corridor.
Also will plot a last link up point along the Merritt in Connecticut for the final leg into F40. From F 40 north to Portland ME we will have one or two link points for those not joining us at F40 or others can go straight to Maine as they wish.

slojotaa, so your a part time clamdigger then. We must have passed each other on the streets of Toms River. I'm in the boating business and May is a very busy time but I'm sold on this run. I'll know in the next week if I can clear my schedule and not miss any business.
Jaguars, Lobsters and Wayne, oh and a martini or two. How could this be bad?

Couldn't pass this obvious response up.
As long as I'm posting - a rarity these days - just a reminder (and Unhinged should be providing a break down soon) that "registering" for the 2016 Jaguar Lobster Run ends at the end of this month, assuming I haven't hit the max beforehand. I also have been given a deadline by the T-shirt manufacturer to submit number and sizes April 8.
Lastly, or so I've been told, don't expect much (as in promise less, deliver more). Let's just say I'm not worried about that in the least.
Best regards, from Lobster Headquarters,
Jay

Last Call For F-Types
April 8 - the date I need to provide the T-Shirt manufacturer with the final count (and sizes) - will be the cut off (no pun intended) for "registering" for the 2016 Jaguar Lobster Run. At that point I will be able to provide all the venues with our count and, in turn, provide those attending (via Bcc e-mail) the price breakdown of each part of the event.
A surprise, or two, might be in store and whether it's 2 F-Types or 20 - or anything in between - I suspect a good time will be had by all.
Best regards,
Jay

Convoy Route and Linkup Points
https://roadtrippers.com/map?a2=t%21...ource=copy&z=8
I have done some preliminary work on the route and linkup points between MD and F40. I also continued the route from there to main. It's still rough and the CT to Maine segment has no stops for folks to link up yet. Will clean this up this week and send it to all with estimated times of arrival at each stop.
For the southern and mid Atlantic folks the first link up point is the Chesapeake House Rest area off I95 northbound after crossing the river at Port Deposit MD. Next waypoint is just north of where the PA Turnpike meets the NJ turnpike. In order to get to F40 by 11am-1130 we need to leave from the Chesapeake House in MD around 6am. Gives us a little wiggle room. We can then spend an hour or two with Wayne and the leave for Maine around 1 in order to get to the beer tasting by 4-430.
More as I work out additional details. Route has been designed to use some highway but also scenic highways like the Merrit Parkway in CT. Link is at the top of this post.

Nice Job Mbourne. I wish I was able to make this trip, but due to a medical procedure the week before I won't be able to attend. Being new to the family (picking up my F Type Sat 4/16) would've enjoyed meeting and spending time with many of you. Hopefully NJ, PA, NY could schedule something this summer for a local trip. Have fun!!!

I know a ton of work has gone into making this an extraordinary event and then some. I regret (as I informed the leaders) that I won't be able to make this one due to personal reasons, however......
I wish you all a fantastic time, safe driving, friendship enjoyment, and most of all a memorable experience. I do look forward to hearing about it, and seeing plenty of pictures!
Godspeed all,
Joe
