After I got my V6 f-type in May and joined this forum I now have the urge to get a V-8. Not interested in the AWD. RWD is hard to find ,, most are AWD. Found one on Carmax on the east coast of Florida.. 2015 with 26,000 miles. Carmax is sending it to Tampa so I can see it. I plan on going over it with a fine tooth comb. It's a one owner car , white with the gloss black 20 in. wheels. Red interior. Looks good in the pics. Carmax stock number on the car is 17521446 . They want 48,900 for it. I may trade my V6 in if they offer enough.
While more is better, with a RWD V8 you will have hard time putting all that power down. AWD greatly helps with this and this is why all newer V8 F-types are AWD. At the very least you will need to upgrade tires to MP4S.
Have you thought about getting a pulley and a tune (from some place like VAP)? Personally, I think the center exhaust has a more classic look and would rather do a pulley/tune.
Yes I have read those post but I about two years left on the warranty.
Far be it for me to assign risk to anyone else—I’m only a commodity futures broker—but based on real-world experience (at least here on the Forum) and correct me if I’m wrong, but there’s seems to be greater reward in having a VAP tune and/or pulley then there is risk?

I currently have the '15 R w/ RWD (with the stock Pirelis on), and you're absolutely right. It can be a blast spinning the tires a bit, but losing traction on wet pavement is not a blast. Do you think a tire swap to the Michelin's would make a sizable difference?
Since OP apparently is in florida (and not say alaska or minnesota), I'd highly recommend the RWD model to him, and heck later when he gets bored - he can go ahead and add a tune/and or pulley to it. Learn to modulate the throttle and get PS4S tires and the RWD F type is one of the most rewarding cars I've owned (and that has been many over the years), and quite the performance bargain.
V-8's are solid, may want to have it checked for coolant leaks (water pump/plastic hoses) before buying and make sure it was regularly serviced.

Yes, especially in wet driving. I too have a RWD F-type, and stock Pirelis lost traction too easily during normal spirited driving (limiting ability to put power down) AND when fully warmed up on the track (they felt greasy). In my opinion, switching to Michelin Pilot Super Sport (MPSS) almost right away was the right call, and Michelin Pilot 4S (MP4S) was an additional improvement over MPSS, notably in wet handling.
I think you will immediately regret not switching sooner.
Three things I'll share from recent, personal experience and hope it helps - One, the P-Zeros have to go ASAP. It's a different car with better tires. Since your in the south the Michelins will be great. I am in the north and didn't want summer tires so I went with Nitto Motiva's and think they are the perfect balance of performance and comfort. Secondly, and as it relates to the V8, we drove both and fell in love with the V8 (wife liked the way it looked from the back exhaust) and the power is awesome. However, I've end up almost always switching on the the snow/rain driving mode when it's wet because the back-end seems to want to come out a lot. First time it's startling, but you just have to be careful. Do what you want with that piece of information. Thirdly, and as a price reference for you, I bought mine in PA (outside of PHL) in August 2019 with 15K and fully loaded (one owner, lunar grey, blacked out, red leather, etc.) and in mint condition from a private owner (84 years old - don't ask). I paid $41K. Good luck with your shopping!!!!!!!!!!

I swapped out my Pirellis for Michelin PS4s immediately after purchase. The difference in grip is night and day. I felt like I was on ice skates with the Pzeros.
OP- I too was specifically looking for the RWD version when I purchased and have zero regrets. In the same price range I could have easily purchased a newer AWD but it was just a personal preference thing for me. Your price seems to be in the right ballpark for those miles as well.

With around 560 WHP to RWD my MP4S 305s are overwhelmed. I would get Sport Cup2s or R888Rs and use rain mode when it's wet.
560whp is a massive jump from stock, though. MP4s for us stockers will perform just fine.
What did you do to your car to pump out that much power to the wheels?
Not much. Racechip and an upper pulley. Around $1000 total. The ZF8 is worth a lot of WHP compared to a normal transmission. My 2014 V8S stock baseline is 488 WHP, with RC its 539 WHP, the upper pulley brings it to 559 WHP. I already have the upper pulley here
