Default Looking for an F-Type steering rack

Have been searching for a while for a salvage or wrecked 2014 or 2015 F-Type or source other than $2K to a dealer for a T2R1327 steering rack. Anyone have a suggestion where I might find one? Thanks in advance!

Here's one for $1512 US, it appears to be new but could possibly be used:

Appreciate the link. Have tried to buy from them before. They are a drop shipper, have nothing in stock. Tried to buy from them only to have my order cancelled a week later because they could not get any "dealers" to agree to supply at that price. LKQ also lists them in stock for only $475 however it turns out they have it listed in their system as T2R1327 but in reality it is the new electric non-hydraulic from the 2016-2017 cars.

Appreciate that, they are a Jag dealer, but if you go to the link there is an additional $240 core charge + freight will bump it up to the $2K mark. I'm fine with a re-manufactured or pulled from a salvaged car. I see listings for late model salvage Jags and parts cars frequently, seems like the 2014-2015 F-types are impossible to find yet there are plenty of 2017 wrecked and totaled F-Types on the market.

That $240 core charge is a constant if you pick up a new or reman unit, but you get that back as soon as you return the old unit. There's a unit that's been toasted on one end available on eBay for $350, but that's only an option if you'll be rebuilding that unit yourself. What's wrong with your existing rack?

This one? How did you find it on eBay? 2014 2015 Jaguar F-Type steering gear rack and pinion T2R1327 burnt end | SPECIALIZED GERMAN RECYCLING

As far as core charges, they vary, for example LKQ charges $25 for a rack core. Jaguar models for the last 15 years or so have many parts that interchangeable, in my case I would like to change the XKR rack to a different ratio hence the F-Type rack, which by the way, is the same as the XKR-S GT.

now i understand.

Specialized is the same outfit that has it listed on eBay. Same price. I would not go for this one. The internal seals are probably melted.

Google the part number to see all that are available.

Well I got really excited there and in fact the $850 price includes the $350 core fee and then I went to check out and discovered it says it is for an S-type and the part number listed is also for an S-Type.

I have searched high and low for both the part and parts cars and so far they have been as elusive as the dodo. I even bought a used one on eBay for $1200 but it arrived damaged.

Damn. That was 1 of only 2 parts listed for the F-Type and the gas capped erroneously is pictured as a locking cap (it is not).
