In Pittsburgh over the weekend, and saw this in a parking garage. I hope if this person is on the list, or whatever, that they somehow found the person that did this.
If that person is on the list, maybe give me some closure. I suspect there is no 'major' damage and once repaired will be good as new.... hopefully...
Is it possible the accident happened elsewhere, and it was towed home while insurance takes it's time to sort out repairs?
(puts on accident investigator hat) - Possible, however the debris field under the vehicle would suggest that the incident occurred at that location.
Anecdote, back a number of years ago I read an investigator's report in a serious accident, in which there was an allegation that an oncoming car had its high beams on which then blinded the other leading to a head on collision. So anyway aside from questions about the debris field (bigger, heavier bits end up much further away than small particles, which makes sense when you think about it), there was evidence of glass/plastic particles fusing on to the low beam bulb but not the high, essentially establishing that high beams weren't on. It was just one of those things that never would have occurred to me, quite fascinating.
Looks to me that the car was wacked where it is standing in a commercial parking garage, presumably by something large backing into it vigorously.
This was not a light tap!!
IMHO the photo suggests the damage was done by someone backing out of the space next to it on the driver's side. Look for a car with front driver's side fender damage. then match the swapped paint.
I have (probably) a nearly identical F... 2017 Ammonite Grey coupe. I agree with Michael211, looks like the offender caught the left front fender panel and ripped it off. Not sure what happened to the broken out sections, unless those pieces are what are under the front lip. Aren't there usually security cameras in these parking garages? I would hope so and that this was caught on camera. The ONLY positive on this may be that the headlight assembly may not have been hit ($$$$$) and the plastic front pieces can be replaced. NO EXCUSE for doing this and running off. Just more confirmation to continue parking in out of the way spots as much as possible. Hadn't thought about a dash cam, and was not aware of a 'Parking Mode", but that would be something to research.

I had a 5mph kiss from someone who pulled in front of me last summer and busted one headlamp. They repaired the nosepiece and replaced a few small parts and of course, paint. The bill was $12K. The used headlamp was $1650. a few weeks later my driver's side headlamp had a bad DRL and was replaced under factory warranty. The dealer invoiced Jaguar $6316.00 for parts and Labor!!!!!!!! The lamp was $6036.00. Holy ****!
