Man I love my F-type but I'm not about to take a bullet for it. Can't say I wouldn't have confronted somebody over leaning on it though. What a bummer.
This is a tough one. I would have words. The fact that the SB who was leaning on the car didn't won up to his mistakes is a little bit of a testament to entitlement these days. It might have been the F-Type owner was overly aggressive in his tone; however, it seems that since a fight erupted that the DB was an entitled ******* who couldn't be told that it's not cool to lean on a car that isn't his.
I was at a car show at an upscale mall near my house. They closed off the prime parking and invited people to display their 'exotic' rides there. Lambos, Ferraris and even the Testarosa from the end of 'The Art of Racing in the Rain". I displayed my F-Type and as I was walking around I was shocked at how stupid people were. At cars and coffee, it's all car people and things are very respectful. Here, I asked a lady if she should be letting her 6 year old climb onto the front of a Ferrari, using the C/F splitter as a foot step, She said 'he just wants a picture with the car'. I saw another lady use the front fender of a 911 GT3RS as a good place to sit as she did something with her shoe and yet another person used the wing on a Pantera to set her take out food. This doesn't even begin to cover all the people putting fingers on the cars, the purse that scraped the side of a G-Wagon, etc. I'm getting angy/depressed just thinking about it.

This is why I am especially careful at car shows where there are probably going to be a lot of “civilians” - those who might not be familiar with “Look but do not touch”. I stay with the car. Having said that, I often invite little kids to sit in the car. It’s fun to see their faces really light up with excitement, and it’s good for the hobby!
The deceased was a young guy, and a member of one of the F-Type forums on Facebook (that I'm a member of). People who knew him spoke well of him. Very sad.
