Default Mercedes-AMG GT R

I really think I'm going for this one!

Snarling engine in the Mercedes-AMG GT R can scare animals

Honestly, does nothing for me. Have you heard the f type?
Now that's a cat with a set of pipes!

I do hear mine all the time & I love it. I'm not comparing the sounds but the performance of this car is unreal.

Don't take it seriously, I'm just messing around. I should probably add that as my signature or something.

Beauty of f type has a hold on me like Raquel Welch when I saw her when I was a teenager. Can't shake it.

Mercedes AMG GT S is a fantastic car. Motor Trend said it's the best driver's car and they may well be right. To me it has something Mercs have been lacking for a while: emotional appeal. Previous-gen C63 was similar, but a lot less controllable
So, it is a fantastic car. Faster than an F Type too. Crazy fast. Lighter than an F Type. Has a bit more room inside than an F Type, although that's relative.
But F Type has even MORE emotional appeal. I don't care that it is slower than an AMG GT S. I don't care that it is heavier or has less room. Just love the F Type and lust after it.
Oh, and the lease payment is half that of an AMG GT S. Cause you can't put a price on love...wait, no you totally can

I am totally in love with my F-Type R. I love everything about it. I also think it looks better (on the outside) than the Merc. I just know there will come a time where I'll need to take another journey & I think the Mercedes GT "R" (not S) will be it.

I was quite young when it started, so I'd say no.

Obviously a nice car but I think the F type looks nicer (especially from the rear), and the MB is 10% more expensive. ......no 'vert makes it a non-starter for me anyhow.

I was planning to upgrade to an F-type SVR sometimes next year but now this thing is giving me some serious thoughts about going back to MB instead.

Like I said previously, I love my F-type R and everything about it but I'm going back to Benz for this one! That color is nice too. This thing is amazing. Mercedes did their damn thing! Some articles say 577hp and some say 585. Wow! Didn't realize Motor Trend tested the "regular"AMG GTS @ 3.2 0-60! Imagine this one with more power and lighter. I'm sold!

My warranty is up 9/17 and I will probably be looking for a AMG GT roadster. Had AMG SLK55 and don't think I need GT S

The GT is a great car, but I wanted a 'vert so it was out from the get-go. I really like the MB SL63 but the AMG was ridiculously expensive compared to the F type and I couldn't see getting the "non performance" SL550 and still paying more than a top of the line F type.

I attended a reception last Thursday featuring the new AMG GT R. Pricing has not yet been set, but the regional MB rep is hoping it will come in just under 200 large. Good luck with that. The F-Type is still a better looking car (and no car without an MT is worth 200k )

Certainly is a tribute to the Panamerica winning car:
