Powerhouse,
I am currently running the Pirellis on stock 20" rims and have no issues, but I have nothing to compare them to.
However, I will soon be switching to 21" wheels and needed new tires for them, so I researched reviews for the brands available.

The numbers for the Michelin Pilot S4S were measurably above the others in almost every test.

 

It is about 30f out tonight and my 2015r is fine out on the cold streets. The Pirelli tires were all over the place under 35f or so. Love the PS4s.

Anyone in the Portland area, get your tires done at Costco Tigard. Service was as good or better than any dealer, even any high end speed shop. Not kidding. They treated my car like a million dollar car in every way. Royal carpet treatment and still less than Tire Rack due to 'free install' special.

 

My Michelins are a bit quieter and definitely more comfortable. The rears have more bite with Mich. But I have to say the steering was noticeably more direct with the P zeros. I cannot say for sure but I think the Ms are stickier in corners but only after more initial sidewall roll in. Thats with 295/30 R20 rear and 255/35 R20 front with both sets.

Next time I'll go back to wider P0s, as I personally prefer the ultra crisp handling to the increased bite and comfort of the Ms.

 

What tire pressure are you running in front? Sounds like you need to bump it up a bit.
