Agreed on the steering wheel, lots of cool stuff on the car and that engine is awesome but honestly the overall look is kind of boring.
I think it's great that the goal was the best of everything and lightest power to weight ratio but the idea that it's the "ultimate drivers car" doesn't really make sense to me. It's too exclusive and expensive for anyone to seriously track it or road trip it, these cars might do a couple hot laps and then get locked up as an investment. Seriously doubt any of them ever get more than a few thousand miles put on in a life time.

I also think that Gordon Murray was hell bent on designing and building the best road legal driver's car he could, because he could and very few others on the planet could. A bit like a "bucket list" item.
Of course he would prefer they actually get driven and driven hard, but I agree the big money examples 15 to 20 years from now will be the garage queens.

If I didn’t have a lovely S.O. to keep me sensible, I’d order one in a heartbeat, and make certain it was within a mile or two of disintegrating in 25 years when I cash it all in. No garage queens for me, thank you. (Couldn’t afford a garage at that point, anyway).
It’s not as attractive as an F-Type, but as an ultimate street machine, it’s a thing of engineering beauty.
