Michelin Pilot Super Sport

There is a stretch of road I take daily that really seems loud with the top up. The P-Zeros on the same road were fairly quiet. With top down - not a problem.
PS - Even with the noise, I'd still pick the Michelins over the Pirellis.

Personally, I do not think that MPSS are loud, I certainly don't hear them when driving top down or up. YMMV.
For installing these, I highly recommend doing it at a shop that has dynamic balancer (e.g. Road Force). My Jag dealer has one, so I did it through them.
If anyone is concerned, IronMike's picture is somewhat misleading. Sure, lip is there but you can't see it unless you are as close as he was when that picture was taken.

Remember, I mounted 305's on the rear.
You can see the inset of the wheel from 20 paces.
Personally, I like the depth it gives to the wheel, and the protection it affords. Can't imagine why anyone would be concerned...

Just a brief update - I got my PSS's installed today and the price was about $100 lower than I was originally quoted (final costs updated below). The crew at Costco was great. They gave me an appointment, saw the car when I pulled in, and snared the keys before I even got to the counter. Two crews worked in parallel and I was in and out in less than an hour.
Meanwhile, all I can do is echo others' comments about how much better the Michelins feel than the P-Zeros. I could tell the difference before I left the parking lot.

I just ordered PSS's (and plan to have a last "fling" on the P-Zero's when they arrive). For anyone that's interested, I'm getting them from Costco. The rear tires don't show up on their on-line system, but the store can get them and they have the machinery to handle the size. (When I went in to ask about the size availability, the guy at the counter immediately asked "Is this for that F-Type out in the lot? Don't worry, we'll take care of it.")
Costco's price was good and includes installation and road hazard. Also, there is currently a $70 rebate.
Front (2) $579.98
Back (2) $679.98
Mount/Bal/Disp $60.00
Sales Tax: $114.30
Rebate: $- 70.00
Total: $1,364.26

I'm sitting at the dealership right now, about to have Michelin PSS installed on my new F-Type (just 500 miles). The car is a lease and the Pirelli will go back on before the car is turned in.
I have been installing PSS on nearly every vehicle in recent years. They are an excellent street performance tire. They do get a bit greasy at the track on hot days, but temps will be cooler in early November when this car has a track day planned

But... you are dead on with adhesion. I've surprised myself two times, doing something I would have done on the Pirellis, without an issue. But the Pirelli's on my rear wore at approx 10K miles, which blew my mind. These will last a lot longer. I'm about to change out the front Pirelli's post the extra 4K I just drove on them, and will match up the PSS to my rear, for sure.
Man... it rained in Vegas, and on a brand new blacktop, I took off for a right turn and lost my back end like a happy puppy wagging it's butt. LOL
Great tires tho. MAYBE... I shouldn't accelerate into turns. Maybe that's not the tire's fault.

PSSs toast after 17k
Well...apparently if you don't mind a bit of frayed cord showing, these tires might make it to 17k miles. I noticed the rear tires suddenly got slippery as snot and decided to investigate. The rear tires were fairly evenly worn down to the wear bars, but the fronts were showing frayed edges on the inside, yet decent tread on the outside edges. I'll try to get the fronts aligned with a bit less camber. Fortunately, I have a fresh pair of the hard to get 305s sitting in the garage, but hopefully can source the 255s fairly quickly.
