I randomly came across a couple articles about the next F-type possibly being a mid-engined, hybrid supercar.
Do you think there's any truth to these rumors?

These stories usually start because some writer was talking to someone who thought it would be a good idea to have a mid engined Ftype as these articles were written around the time of the C8 becoming a reality. My son worked in the automotive media for a while and speculation stories are developed to drive readership. They rarely have anyone who knows anything being the source of the info, but rather report wishes as possible realities. Sometimes the automotive media will run these stories in a effort to influence the manufacturing community to do something. They pushed Chevy for three decades on the mythical mid engined VET then finally got their wish.
In this case i suspect the original story was wishful thinking then the copycat media outlets didn’t want to be left out. Since the new JLR CEO is talking about taking Jag “up market” to compete with AM, they would need at some future date a mid engined beast to rival the Valkyrie …assuming they financially last that long under his plan.

The author saying that loses quite a bit of credibility.
I'm sure some will disagree with me but the production version was quite a ways from the promises of the concept. Nevermind that they never made it to US or some other markets. The exterior of the car was nice, even though it was way longer then it should have been. The weird windows, etc.
