Is this mod compatible with the 2017 F-Type?

Hi all,
In order to get apple carplay in my 2017 F-Type R, I've settled on a module by Naviplus which I'd like to install.
Link: https://www.naviplus.com.au/online-s...uto-p145502026
However, the representative I spoke to from Naviplus is only familiar with the hardware in 2013-2016 F Types, and they cannot tell me with certainty if their mod is compatible with the 2017 version. They sent me their instruction manual, and there are some notable differences between the car in the pictures and my car.
For example, unlike the earlier models of this car, the radio unit does not seem to be located behind the arm rest. Instead I have a storage compartment. I will include the Naviplus instruction manual as an attachment below.
I was hoping someone here knows if this mod might be compatible.

tricky as 2017 - thats about the time they changed over from Harman to incontrol touch 8 (central sim and HDMI port).See if you can identify which version you have then ask them again as harness will be different and their headunit might be incompatible.
interesting the product link you have provide is for the BOSCH (initial version ) , the install instructions are not for the BOSCH system just to make it more confusing.

They have a product specifically for In Control system. Link here: https://www.naviplus.com.au/online-s...ack-p145497486
And there's no sim or HDMI in mine.

my interpretation is that because you don't have the SIM or HDMI then you have the Harman system. My car is a 2015 so i'm only guessing for you.
ONE BIG THING TO CONSIDER
Do you realise that for the advantage of going with Naviplus ( ie skip forward /back buttons that work) that you are sacrificing VOICE commands for siri. May not be relevent to you if using android auto but if apple user that is a HUGE LOSS. Being able to get siri to make calls or get directions in the app of your choosing or play playlist or specific songs in the app of your choosing , or sending messages , or opening the garage door, or skipping music forward or back will all be lost. A bad tradeoff IMHO

Greetings Snackalac. I am considering an upgrade to my infotainment system too. I have a 2016 F-Type R Coupe and on the Jaguar website, I read that there's a new feature called the "Smartphone Pack" that integrates Android Auto and Apple CarPlay into older models. This is their quote "The latest software comes as standard when buying a new Jaguar but some models from 2016–2018 are also eligible". Have you looked into this? Has anyone looked into this for a 2016 F-Type R?

Ah well so much for that. Thanks. So it seems like it really isn't worth upgrading just to have Android Auto. The Bluetooth Audio/Phone works OK in the stock configuration. And with such a small screen it would have looked a bit cramped. Looks like I'll have to spend my money on performance mods :-) Must be something out there...
