Motorized front plate - worth it?

Motorized front plate - worth it?
My plates are in for my SVR, but I'm balking at the idea of putting a front plate on. It's black and looks so sinister without anything there. That said, I had one on my R, and to be honest, I never noticed after a while.
I can't drive around without one completely because I'm just not in the mood to be pulled over for stupidity. I've been researching the different solutions and the motorized plate option is interesting....but it seems that when the plate is up, it covers the air intake in the front diffuser...it has to disrupt airflow for which the SVR especially is specifically engineered.
So, would you guys just get the front plate and put it on in the normal position affixing it to the bumper but not disrupt the airflow to the underbody OR would you explore the motorized plate option?

I had the motorized plate on my XKR, but it wouldn't install in a reasonable way on my FtypeR, so I used earth magnet for the F plate.
Although I am not able to drop or raise the plate while driving now, I can easily pull it off for cleaning or when I drive in locations that don't care about the front plate.
Lawrence.

Jaguar mechanic friend did it.. but it was easy.. he used epoxy behind the center grill bar and glued a length of metal and then attached earth magnets to the back of the plate, simply held with industrial tape across.
Finished product looks like a standard bolted on front plate. I like the location better than what I would have ended up with using the sto-go bit.
If you are interested enough I can find a picture of it and send.

New complication
Okay, it seems that my 2017 SVR has a special laminated windshield that my 2015 R did not have ....which means that my EZ Pass does not read through it. It reads 1 out of 5 times through the glass...
I think I have no choice but to mount the front plate so that I can mount the EZ Pass on the bracket .... 😑
