Hello Nache.
Did you ever solve your navigation problem? I have the same problem and think that I am probably even dealing with the same dealer (Guy Salmon in Bristol?).
They told me about a previous experience in which they spent hours on a South African car and made no progress. They are now telling me that I would have to change the CFF unit, rather than just re-programme it.
Best Regards
Quentin Shaw

Good Morning Cambo,
Just came across your string of emails here and love the level of knowledge you have on the matter and was wondering if there's anyway i could get your thoughts,
I live in Dubai and have a 2018 Jaguar F Type - 400 - Jap Spec - I've recently just bought the car and only now just realized the mapping systems aren't updated to GCC, i just wanted to get your opinion on how best to proceed as im happy to take it to jaguar here in Dubai but if there's other means of updating it without paying an extortionate amount that would be brilliant.
I understand this thread is 10 years old now too ahaha so this may be a shot in the dark.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Kind Regards
Oliver

You can purchase an imc unit on eBay from the country you are going to and replace the one in your car.
Make sure it is the same part number as your car. They cost between 50-100$. It’s a pain to get them out unless to remove the two plastic studs that keep it in the metal cage. The replaced imc will have the nav system from the county you bought it from. There is no vin coding at all and it will work without any coding. If it’s from a car other than yours(like an Evoque) it will only say Evoque when you sync a phone to Bluetooth. Otherwise plug snd play.
