I need to change the tires and from reading the forums, looks like most of you like the 4S and then the MPSS.. but those options are not available at the Costco near me .. They said they can hook me up with PilotSportA/S for the front wheels and MPSS for rear .. Is that ok to have different tires for front and rear ?
If not I will get the 4S from tirerack but they are atleast $200 more than Costco option
Also does any one have PilotSportA/S on their F type ..
I m looking for more tire life time and less noise
Any help is appreciated !
Thank you !

Handling of your car will be compromised with different front and back tires having different performance characteristics. If Costco can't get you good tires, go elsewhere.
Spend the money to get proper tires. MPSS or 4S. Tires are more important safety-wise than seat belts, performance-wise than tuning your engine.
If I could tell you that only for $200 you could get extra 50HP and be 5% more likely to avoid accident, would you even pause to consider it?

I actually had this exact setup for about 6 months.
The Michelin AS3 is a very capable all season tire; besting even some summer tires. Unless you are tracking your car, you'll never get near the limits the AS3 does nor will you tell the difference daily driving the car. Do some research on the Michelin AS3 on Google. A lot of users prefer the AS3 over the MPSS as its a very good compromise between grip, road noise and life. I actually ran the AS3 on the front for a few track sessions; at its grip limit, it made the car understeer as the MPSS on the back of the car still had some grip. Its a forgiving tire.

Thanks guys ! Costco was able to get me the Pilot 4s tires .. $1172 including VA taxes .. ($70 off Michelin discount applied)
Also - I saw good reviews for this tire "Firestone Firehawk Indy 500" on Tirerack.. they are pretty cheap compared to any others ($717). Not that I will get them now, but want to see whats the deal about these tires .. since they are so much cheaper than the Michelin's .. Anyone used these ?
