that is what happens when old guys are in charge of picking out “hip” music for a promotion. If you watch the video from Ford, you will see the cool guy in the manual transmission t-shirt, jeans, and a blazer. Nothing says non-conformist executive like a $100 haircut and a laid back blazer Jean combo.

You know - I watched the reveal, and was like 'It's ok, I think it will grow on me'. Then I saw the Dark Horse (I'm sorry, what an overdramatic/emo name) and was like hmmm now we're talking. Then I went to the garage to see my F-Type and was like 'oh right, this is what a beautiful car really looks like... carry on.'

The mustang is so cheap, you can always have both! I have both, I drive them about 4 days on 4 days off. Everything about the F type is better quality and sharper (except the GPS), but the Mustang still has a lot of charm and it is a great manual box mated with a decent NA V8, also cheap as chips to modify.

I see the new Mustang will also be available in that Battleship Gray color that I have seen on a few other makers recently. Ugh. But apparently some people like it, I have seen a few cars in that color in my small town of less than 4000 people.
But like others, I have to give credit to Ford to offer a normally aspirated V8 and a 6 speed manual transmission. I'm sure they will sell well. And it won't be long for more YouTube videos of guys losing control while doing burnouts and hitting the curb or a parked vehicle.

It's actually quite amusing to me seeing the number of people having an issue with the type of music that Ford chose for its Dark Horse promo. Personally, I thought it was great. It got my blood pumping and I thought it was a good choice for their performance model. Sorry that it wasn't Chris Isaac's Wicked Game that Jag chose as a way to appeal to younger buyers (one of the worst Jags ever produced, btw - X type). The people that are complaining about the song here aren't the target audience and if we can be honest for a second, you weren't going to buy it with a different tune (pun intended). Ford yearly sells 15 times plus of Mustangs than the number of F types sold. They got this...Of course, it was meant to appeal to a younger buyer as well as one that isn't looking for a leather headliner (as does their traditional cheap interior and the newly chosen video game screen interior that I personally dislike as I already stated). I love my F-type coupe and the new Stang isn't for me for a number of reasons that I stated previously in this thread but....great Promo video.

The New Dark Horse Mustang is about, Get In, Sit Down, Shut Up, and Hang On! Till your Eyeballs Bleed. I personally Don't think you need a Video Playback screen, as the "Real Sensations", were definitely more then enough stimulation, to make a lot of people wanna pee down their leg. Just my thoughts.

Oh I didnt take it that way at all! If I had to go back to one car, it would defs be the F, but it's nice to have the manual V8 Mustang. I bit like a cabin in the woods for the odd weekend, but with much more plastic.

She's a white '21 Coupe with a lil more than 3 years remaining on the CPO warranty
I'm 65 years old
Not dead .................................... yet
Still young enough to do this
Owned the Mustang 8 years - longer than any other car
Most fun to drive car I've owned.
Most trouble free car I've owned
Other than warranty or normal wear items, ZERO FAILURES. - that's right ZERO ! And that's with 102,000 miles.
Local car dealer had a 2018 6 cylinder with 14,000 on the clock for sale
When I stopped to check it out, he threw me the keys
That was it.
Took her out to the twisties, (9 days ago) then on the interstate.to check for road noise
Road noise is not to be confused with exhaust/machinery noise
That Mustang has GT 500 mufflers and DYNAMAT in the doors, floor and trunk floor/spare tire well - WHAT A DIFFERENCE !
Anyhow that 2018 was nice, but I did my due diligence last week
Drove a red 2015 with 22,000 on the clock at CARMAX.
This was a 380 HP model, but didn't have the STUFF that the 2018 340 horse 2018 model had
Not the power and not the sound.
Stopped by the JAG dealer and drove a blue 2021 (refresh year) P300, which I had previously written off as underpowered
Boy was I ever wrong.
For the kind of driving I do the 300 horse, 5.7 second 0-60 powerplant is fine
When I need to push it, simply put the shifter in S and wind her out
In 1986 I bought a new, Volvo 740 Turbo. This was a 4 cylinder intercooled engine and the Dealer added a "TURBO PLUS KIT" which made that car unbelievably responsive.
The accelerator pedal could be articulated to achieve excellent shift points, and I felt the similar results when test driving the blue 2021 P300
I'm flying out tomorrow to pick her up at the JLR dealer and will make the 1300 mile trip back home.
The Jag has 9,000 on the clock and has more than 3 years remaining on the CPO
Bought a tire plug kit and 12 volt air compressor on Amazon, delivered to the dealership today.
Car is a loaded FIRST EDITION and shows well in the photos.
My only concern is she had 2 owners, and according to the dealer record provided to me had 2 rear tires and a battery replaced when prepped for sale NEARLY A YEAR AGO !!!!!!!!!!!
Mileage is close to what it was at the time of trade.
I think JLR dealer had her priced way too high.
Of the 7 on my list, this dealer's final out the door price was the highest of them all.
I told salesperson he needed to knock off 5K, and to my surprise HE DID !
I did not expect THAT !.......................THERE WAS NO DANCE !
I do hope this car shows in person as well as the photos indicate.
Will find out tomorrow !!!!!!!!!!!!
BEST !
