Default My 1st Test Drive

well all I can say is damnnnn its quick - I thought my 370 was rapid, but this is a step up again

it launches (in dynamic) like well ermmmm an unleashed ***** cat

visibility is worse than the 370, but i think i could live with that

just a short accompanied drive today - I will have a full day with it probably the end of the month to really decide

I have the V6s and I had not had a high performance car before, although I had driven on the track a bit, and I was actually a bit scared of it at first and wondered for a little while whether I had made a mistake, but you soon get used to it.

Quite a step up from the 370 in every way (especially price) lol. Don't get me wrong, the 370 is a legitimate sports car, but the F-Type is in a different class altogether. Buy it and never look back!

New to New its approx £25,000 more LOL

interior quality (first impressions) very little difference

handling - haven't had chance to compare yet - dealer was in the car with me

straight line speed - whilst 1 second difference (manufacturer claimed) wouldn't seem to be much ....... the rest of that doesn't need to be said

looking forward to taking it off his hands for a whole day and taking it up into the Black Mountains in Wales ......... some really nice roads there

Apparently I'm way off because Nissan says 370z starts at $29,000 and the base F-Type starts at $65,000. That's ~$35,000 with relative exchange rates. Given that you said you drove an "S", which I own and know median price for, this spreads the gap even further without assuming you have the base 370.

not a base version - I have the GT Edition - MRP = £35000 ($50,500) and went with £60760 ($87,700) (unadorned) S Version for the price comparison

dollar / pound straight conversion - not MRP for US

I actually moved up from a G37 IPL to the F-type Base V6 (manual). Same engine on the 370Z as my IPL -- although, nissan/infiniti tweaked the engine to get a few more horses out of the 3.7litre engine for the "IPL" series.

I also noticed it was a HUGE difference driving the F-type -- mostly because of the torque difference -- the F-type's supercharged V6 is just faster than Nissan's workhorse 3.7L engine.

I will say that the Infiniti had/has a better convenience options (such as the voice activation features that are just not available on the F-type).

But, the F-type is just a WAY better looking/sounding car. You won't regret the move up.

I think they are playing games with you. Demand to see the work order. New cars don't develop faults on their own, usually it is someone backing up into them.
