Default my f type mod

hi i start this thread for the mods that im gonna do to my f type

1 spacers

H&R Distanziali 15mm per Jaguar F-Type XF XK XKR JAB3035634 ruota route | eBay

is that perfect for my car ? at the moment i have 19 black but im thinking if i upgrade 20'' rims , so 15 rear 15 front ?

in the forum porsche usually we put only the spacers on the rear and little on the front for the steering wheel feeling but i read all the thread and i see that all of you use 15 h & r and f type is different from a mid engine car

spring : velocity ap or KW adjustable (30 mm is too much h&r) that mods are for the look of the car so if i low not too much i find a compromise

tyres: michelin pilot sport or bridgestone , i read not very good opinion on the pzero

painting :
i paint black gloss the chrome border near the door windows (HATE THEM !!!) after the car will look more sporty (don't know if is explained well in english) and the side vents gloss black (and probalbly the chrome part on the front grille also in gloss black )

i debadge the jaguar from the rear and leave only the leaper ( dont know if i do leaper black gloss and f type gloss)

and advice ? please thx

my car is stratus gray

love it !

15mm spacers are perfect unless you plan to upsize to 305mm wide tires.

... or get Michelin PS4 with VAP lowering springs - at least on mine the 17mms that worked fine with the Oem pzeros rubbed occasionally on passenger rear tire on large freeway dips. Switched out to 15mm and it was better, but still got rubbing on occasion. So I ended up taking the spacers off for now.

Hey Gregg, I have a V6S with VAP springs and MPS4S just like you, and I have 15 mm spacers all round and I've never had a single rub or scrape.
Admittedly I've never done a "whoop te do" at high speed so that might explain things!

Yeah I really only had it happen on some of the awesome roller coaster-esqe freeway dips at 65+... but a 3-hour drive to Monterey was nerve wracking wondering if the rubs were going to dent or pull off the fender.

If I buy at lease end I’ll probably have inner rear fender edges trimmed and put spacers back on.

First 4 pics are mine (bronze wheels), the last pic I found online that has black wheels. Might I suggest black or wheel colored emblems and black exhaust tips to complete the look?

VAP Springs, 295 rear, 265/30/20's front . No spacers, wheels were made with correct offset. HRE's - crazy expensive, but the previous owner of the car got them at a huge discount for allowing marketing photos. The satin bronze looks great against stratus grey, but a black or graphite wheel would be awesome too. Check around on the forum, there are lots of wheel choices - Ferrada seems to be a good value wheel.

Good luck and have fun....

ok i talk with the person that do the bodywork and i do
1. the chrome grille in black gloss ( the front grille )
2. the chrome border on the doors in black gloss
3. side vents in black gloss
4. the leaper black gloss and f type black gloss but im not sure the car is stratus gray ( i think if i do car look more racing )

im thinking if i go for 20'' or leave the 19 that are in gloss black (good for me ) and of course i need to lower (ap springs seems to be the best choice)

after that the jag will be perfect and after service in jaguar i go to tune with AP

that's it !

The front is too short. You can do a 245/40R19 and 285/35R19 though.

255 stock tires looked stretched on my wider front rim. But also, 255/35/20 is not a wide tire - my x's elantra has tires as wide. With the 265/30/20 I have almost 1" more tread on the road, helps eliminate understeer, IMHO.

Same amount of tread; a wider/shorter tread pattern is what you have.
