Okay thanks guys, so I'm 99% sure I'm going to go for the the latter one i saw (not pictured) with only 2500 miles on, and maybe get the wheels power coated to black
BTW, getting them chrome bits to match the black pack, is it possible? can the parts be swapped or powder coated like the wheels?

I say its an R because it is an R, I'm not gunna blindly assume its an R without knowing for sure And not just the badges but them quad exhausts should be a bit of a give away too
Infact I'm pretty sure that F Type R Coupes were here in 2013!

There were no "R" badged F types in 2014. End of story. Foosh already told you this earlier.
Cheers,

You're misinformed. Attached is the 2013 UK brochure, showing only the models I listed above.
The V8S engine in the 2014 V8S is identical to the later V8R models, with the exception the the ECU tune. Quad pipes were identical to later R models. As you will see, no coupes were offered. It was developed as a convertible first and only offered as a convertible the first model year, followed in the next model year by the coupe. That was the case worldwide.

Perhaps there is a difference in MY designations in the US and UK. Right now, "2017" models are being delivered in the US, and we've barely started 2016.
Are 2017s now being delivered in the UK?
One thing that is clear is that the very first model year (whatever it was called) was only sold as convertible worldwide, there was no R model in that very first year, and the coupe came approximately one year after the F-Type convertible first went on sale. There are no 2014 US spec coupes.

Glad we cleared that up!

I know thats a joke, but i feel like we have our wires crossed on the quad pipes thing? i was aware that convertibles also have V8 engines and 4 pipes, to clarify

RWD V8s are no longer available in the U.S, but remain available in the U.K. and other markets, at least for the 16 model year. It does get confusing.

In the future I'll make sure I use the term "model year".
Good luck on your purchase and make sure to post pics. You'll love the car! :-)

The tune is simply a matter of coming up with changes to entice new buyers and to keep up with whatever brand X, Y and Z are doing.
To add further confusion, according to those in the know, the V8S "488hp/495PS/495hp" motor actually uses the XKR-S 510PS software so it would appear that marketing has played with the numbers a bit too.
Cheers,

Yeah, just pulling your chain. Interesting conversation actually; I kept seeing references to 2013 cars now I think I get it: In North America we go by Model Year (i.e. SAE 10th digit in the VIN and all that) whereas it seems that in the UK (and elsewhere in Europe?) you go by "plate" year as Timbo said. Here, we can buy 2017 MY cars (for example) part way into 2016 as Foosh mentioned.
