Still no joy with the rear camera unfortunately. Everything else is working fine but this.
There are a few IPMB's on eBay but it's not possible to tell which would be compatible with the new screen. I'm trying to find the part number from a unit fitted to a '19 and upwards F-Type as I believe these were only ever fitted with rear cameras. I'd really appreciate if anyone could help with the part number.
Thanks

Thanks for this, I'll pass along and look into it myself. I've looked through all the part registers and the F-Type doesn't seem to have the same parking module as the XJ's.

What I've found looks a bit simpler:

Just have to figure out how this all works.
Edit: I've checked and the parts seem to be exactly the same between the '18 and '19 model years:

I did contact UAD and they have a version that works with our car. I read through quite a bit of material and wanted as OEM as possible a solution. I didn’t like the idea of routing a microphone through and having to take most of the rear of the car apart (I have a vert). If you don’t mind that then it’s a proven reliable solution.
if your car is similar to mine then what you’re looking for is posted earlier in the thread. You can source an OEM 10” screen and follow the instructions (adjusting for your car) in xdave’s excellent guide.

When you researched the UAD solution, did you see how the audio is routed into the car's system given that our cars don't have an old fashioned aux in port? And did you see whether the installation made the OEM nav completely inaccessible? From what I've seen so far, the UAD kit completely takes over the video signal from the OEM satnav while I'd prefer to have both systems available and switch between them with a long press somehow, kind of like the Merryway kits seem to work.

Cheers. Seems like it's a bit different depending on the age of the car and whether it has the Bosch, Harman or IMC system. I've seen a youtube video where it definitely replaces the OEM satnav but that car had an older GUI so probably MY16 or earlier. Since the UAD solution for your MY17 lets you switch it's hopefully also possible to switch in the MY18+ UAD kit. Guess I'll just have to check with UAD to be sure.

Major Tom I’m pretty sure you lose OEM sat nav no matter what year you have . All UAD is doing is inserting itself in place of OEM SAT nav. There is really no reason to use theJag sat nav as it is always outdated. Google or apple msps or waze kills it . Real time traffic flow data, speed camera verbal alerts, satellite view on google maps, better street name labels , ability to run one or two or three all at the same time makes OEM feel distinctly 1970s .

As far as I've understood so far, the OEM nav is still in there and up and running after a UAD installation. The UAD kit just needs to feed its video into the car system somehow and in most cases (earlier versions) has taken over the OEM nav video "channel" into the system but considering Malbec's comment it seems like later versions take over the video signal of the whole ICTP system and you can switch between ICTP's home screen and UAD with the home button, which sounds perfect.

Quick update;
The retrofit certainly works, only challenge is an issue with the reversing camera. Not sure where the incompatibility is exactly as it's the same head unit and camera and the rear camera doesn't connect directly to the screen (it's just one cable from the head unit to the screen).
Running diagnostics on the IPMB show two errors:
- High speed CAN communication bus performance - missing message
- Central configuration - signal plausibility failure
At this point I'm considering purchasing a new camera but it'll be expansive to instal (need to take the rear bumper out) and it doesn't 'feel' like a hardware issue as the existing components worked with the older 8" screen.

I'm fairly sure it's a programming issue as the system doesn't seem to think I have a rear camera installed.

I can think of three possible causes for the camera issue.
1. you need to run Variant Configuration for the IPMB, in the ECU functions menu for that module, that would load the new CCF into the module, BUT without being connected to the car in question, I can't be sure that option is even there...
2. there could be a different software version for the IPMB in widescreen cars, but I think the only way to figure that out would be to get a read of a MY19 and compare the s/w version to what's in the MY18
3. there might be a line in the CCF that needs changing, this is less likely but should still be checked, would need a VIN of a MY19 to make a comparison...

I’ll ask again, could you send me his details via PM. Thanks.

I’ll mention suggestion 1 to them. With regards 3, I have a 19 VIN, is it possible to pull up the standard CCF settings with just that? Thanks.
