You're referencing the wrong post/reply. It was one of the ones prior to this.



This information along with the fact that your vehicle is reporting a U2300:64 DTC (central configuration - signal plausibility failure) tells you that you have the incorrect firmware installed. Do not be misled by the mention of the term "central configuration" and think it's a CCF issue.

About the other comment, unfortunately due to having many experiences on many forums whereby people ask for contact details and never end up using them, I've stopped initiating contact when people ask. Instead I find that when the person takes the time to contact you in a PM and ask for the contact details it generally means they're more serious about it. I often wonder why people ask me to send them my number or email address and I never hear from them? But when they make contact with me I end up hearing from them. Sorry, just one of my little quirks and is not aimed at you directly

Any pics of your progress in the meantime?

FYI, the retrofit has already been done before.

Thanks to everyone that helped, finally able to draw a line under this. Rear camera working finally. Took a lot longer and cost a fair bit more than I anticipated but ultimately glad with the result.

Wouldn’t have been possible without the help i got on the forums so thanks again to everyone that helped.

so I’m currently in the process of fitting the newer 10 in screen to my MY18 F Type as well and have gotten the correct screen(I think), but have a couple question that I’d really appreciate to have answered since you’ve gotten this completed.

1. Where we’re you able to find the bezel/trim around the screen? Is that a part I could get directly from Jaguar? I’m unable to find the part number for that.

2. According to all I’ve read here, provided I have an IMC, this should pretty much be a plug and play, other than the reversing camera issue, correct?

3. Did you have any decoding issues or any pin required when you installed the new 10 in screen?

4. Any other things I should know that would make this process smooth? I will try to find a local Indy to help me with any coding/updates that are required but I’d like to know as much as I can before I go in so I know what to ask for in case they aren’t as knowledgeable on this specific type of upgrade.

So I have a 2018 with an 8 inch screen, bought the 10” screen and bezel on eBay in the uk, had shipped to the USA … I did plug in the screen to check, it worked but as expected was showing the 8” graphics, but the connector was spot on and fits the gap and screw holes perfectly … now I need to find someone in the USA that can recode and upload the amended ccf for me … in haven’t found a garage in nashville where I live that has pathfinder to make the changes…

 

That's great news! did you have any issues with the reversing camera or any features such as the parking sensors/auto parking?

 

No idea… didn’t turn car on with it connected, but I’ll report when I do the software upgrade… I can edit the ccf file for you by the way so if you have a dealer that will connect pathfinder and download your cars ccf, mail it to me and I can have it done. I did buy the software for quite a lot of money and thought I could edit ccfs and charge a little in the hopes that I get my investment back

 

Ah ok. Yes please let me know how things work out once you're able to upgrade the software. Ive just ordered the screen so once I receive it from the UK and am able to find a dealer that will download the CCF, I will definitely reach out to get it edited by you. Thanks!

Hey sorry to bother you, just a quick question. When you upgraded from the 8 inch to 10 inch screen did you have to purchase a new bracket to hold the 10 inch screen or did the existing bracket work for you? I have a 10 inch screen and the bezel trim, but I wasn’t sure if any other parts were needed. Thanks for your help!
